It’s called fashion and being progressive folks…in the 70s and early 80s all you saw were guys wearing “short shorts”, Speedos, Sub 4 shorts, etc…then guys started emulating the surfers from Cali and started wearing board shorts – I remember these guys getting made fun of at first – people said it looked they were wearing grandpa’s boxers!
