Breaking News: Travis Barker and DJ AM Save Lives By Jumping

TMZ.com: Travis Barker’s assistant was one of the three people who died in last night’s plane crash in Columbia, SC.
Chris Baker, 29, died along with the pilot Sarah Lemmon and co-pilot James Bland, according to WACH. Barker and DJ AM are still in a burn center in Augusta, GA in critical condition.
Gavin Degraw’s father has told a local paper in SC Degraw was not on the plane and is still in Columbia.

I just read that they jumped out of the plane as soon as it stopped. I cannot even imagine what quick thinking and bravery that must have taken.

I feel sorry for the families and the two with a long recovery ahead of them, but a few corrections.
First it isn’t “brave” or “heroic” to get out of a burning plane…pulling someone out of one is (and they didn’t do that) They also didn’t “jump” from the plane…as the plane came apart they were ejected on the roadway.
Second, I feel bad for them and all but “Travis is the greatest musician and most successful musician in the last ten years.” Get a grip even if you think he is great, that simply right there is a retarded statement.

And oh boy, the world is really gonna be amiss without another DJ spinning the tunes for us. I don’t think I’ll EVER understand why DJs need to be treated like rockstars. They’re talentless and most of ‘em are frustrated bad musicians who are too lazy to really learn how to play and instrument.
Shame what happened, because if Travis and Adam survive they’ve got a long, and painful road ahead of them. But the bottom line is those guys were in primal self-preservation mode. They’re no heroes and there was most likely little if any bravery involved. Prolly the only thing going through their minds was HOLY **** I’M ON FIRE. DROP and ROLL!!! Does this translate to bravery?
