THE DIRTY ARMY: Charles Barkley was arrested on suspicion of drinking and driving early this morning. It was said he was caught with a wine cooler and box of bear claws!! Here is the story!
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Charles Barkley was arrested on suspicion of drinking and driving early this morning. An officer with a law enforcement task force that targets drunken driving saw the former NBA star run a stop sign around 1:30 a.m., said Gilbert police Lt. Eric Shuhandler. Barkley declined to submit to a breath test but was given a blood test. The results weren’t immediately available. After Barkley was processed, he was cited and released. He left in a cab, Shuhandler said.
Shuhandler said there was nothing remarkable about Barkley’s arrest and that it is customary to release people after they’ve been arrested on suspicion of DUI. ”There was nothing unusual about how he was taken into custody,” Shuhandler said. “He was treated exactly like we treat anybody else.” Barkley was arrested in Scottsdale’s Old Town area, one of the trendiest spots in the Phoenix metro area.

**Update** DIRTY PRETTY Staff: Hey Nik he was partying with Michael Strahan and his whole entourage they had stage left and Barkley had stage right. There tables were flooded with girls, mainly blondes and Steve Eurkel (not sure what his real name is) had a table next to the DJ. I will get you more intel as soon as everyone wakes up.
Here is the real question? Why was Chuck heading to Gilbert? He lives in Gainey Ranch which is Scottsdale/Paradise Valley. Gilbert is 30 minutes away from no where… Can you say side tail?- nik

***I wonder if Charles is still going to have his huge New Years party tonight. Last year it was at Un Baccio which was perfect walking distance from his house.
