Although I don’t agree with her views on same-sex marriage, I do believe that she has the right to have those views–I think it’s interesting that since she gave her opinion, she is being vilified. If she had answered in a different manner, she probably would have been called out for being a liar. I have to give her props for not selling out–that does take some guts. It’s America, we are entitled to our opinions and beliefs, no matter what they are.
Secondly, I’m assuming that when she said “that was the only photo”, she meant that session–I’m not a model and not familiar with the trends, but I’d imagine that when taking photographs, you wouldn’t take just one picture during a session–unless you have other photographs from different sessions that show her unclothed, I don’t find any shock value or reasons to imply that she is lying.

You will see it says Adobe Photoshop Elements 4.0.1 Macintosh…. yeah I would say this photo has been photoshopped. Check it out for yourself. Plus if you magnify it there are plenty of terrible pixel artifacts from trying to smooth the edges after pasting the face. The least they could do is get someone really skilled to produce a fake.

This photo definitely have photo shop criterion and in all cases not any reason to cause any contestant to lose their earn title over. What is clear is that pagent official must redo their pagent rules so as not to look like they are still living in the dark ages. Oh let us all gang up and destroy a young lady because she does not share our opinion on gay marriage! What great big tough people we are! First off, I really don’t care about her answer about gay marriage. Secondly, I believe that pageants are outdated and only promote a stereotypical image of young women. But I do want to address some things:
Pageants are outdated. They use the imagery of young pretty women to try to attract an audience. This is one of the main reasons there’s a swimsuit portion. If there wasn’t then it would lose appeal. Also, the swimsuit portion is stupid because it’s “supposed’ to show a healthy physique of young women. Obviously people think implants and sexy swimsuits make up a healthy physique.
It’s not even just about just being in a pageant though. The young women involved are supposed to be role models outside of being a pageant competitor. It ruins the whole foundation of pageantry if these women are only showing a public facade.
That is the biggest thing I have against Carrie Prejean. She seems to be taken the controversy over her answer and trying to turn it into opportunity for her. If she had just stuck by what she believed in that would have been fine, but now she’s supposedly in negotiations with The View to be their “right wing opinion” holder. If you’re going to be a role model you shouldn’t use controversy to get ahead.
As for this pics, the arguments that they are just like any lingerie ad or swimsuit picture just shows how far are country has changed. These pictures are used to try and get people to buy a product. Both photos have been fed through an imaging program to remove data about the camera that took them (all images contain data which should reveal what camera they were taken with, as well as focal lengths, etc… these pictures have had that data removed). Further, the second picture is 1/2 the resolution of the first… WHY? Did the same camera all of a sudden start shooting poorer quality images…?

It doesn’t make sense for a woman who can get by on their looks and loves attention to enter a pageant and win when the conditions of winning are that they can’t show off their looks however they like. They would be better off getting jobs in the porn industry.

The Bible was written by fallible men, not by God. The Bible didn’t fall out of the sky bound in the King James Version. Jesus was a Jew and a man with some great things to say, he wasn’t supernatural.
If I was the only person on earth the Bible would have been written in a different manner. It would have been written that Jesus didn’t die on the cross for my sins, he died because of fear & greed by those in Power. Look at human nature & motive and most of the time, it will explain cause and effect.
My favorite saying by Jesus was, “The Kingdom of Heaven is here and now or it is nowhere at all”. In other words there will be no other place we will go to, there will be no second coming, and for us to experience the Kingdom, we better learn to get along all of us, because it’s not going to happen anywhere else. It’s in the here and now and during your lifetime. As the person you currently are, you have only this one chance. This is how I try and live my life. You don’t have to be a believer in the SuperNatural to have a good heart. We all struggle all of us to keep that good heart in us all the time.
The conflict we have is in our beliefs about our Religions, not in the goodness of Man and what we can become. We just need to change those Religious beliefs and what they may call Faiths. Faiths that are on a shaky foundation. Jesus would be appalled at what Christians have turned their Religion into, and that is glorifying and supernaturalizing his life more than glorifying and truly living by what he said.

“Facts” to the dying Repub. Party are “anything that makes Clinton look bad”, apparently. Here’s the real scoop:
Clinton was getting close to balancing the NON-Social Security budget but had NOT yet done it when his term ended. On the other hand he had a surplus if you included the surplus from collecting Social Security (SS) Taxes. The SS surplus has been used for years to minimize the deficient so Clinton just continued the tradition of counting the SS surplus with the rest of the Federal Budget (And this continues to this day, the non-social Security Deficient is a lot worse than the Deficient Bush cites foe like every President since Reagan he includes the Social Security Surplus).
The idea that Dems were somehow “forcing” anyone to take out loans is comical. Making loans available to as many as possible was the goal, the ball was dropped with Repub deregulation (as usual). The Repubs were in fully in charge during part of Clinton and almost all of Bush but did nothing to stop the loan mess. Even if the Dems caused it, which they didn’t, the Repubs couldn’t fix it with eight years controlling both houses? The dems are that powerful? Or the repubs are that incompetent. Let them go sit in a corner and worry about burning flags, the “theory” of eveolution and gay marriage and let us run the country well (like we did under Clinton).

It looks photoshopped to me, too, but consider this: if there is one picture from a lingerie shoot, there is at least an entire series. If one is released, the whole series may be released. Photographers don’t just take one picture to market a product or to build a girl’s portfolio. She should know this when she’s making dumb statements to the press.

I used to be a vocal supporter of gay rights but the action, the treatment of rightwing gay activists have shown the behind the smoke screen of human liberty is a venom for vengeance. She has liberty to freedom of expression and opinion and to attack her otherwise makes caricature of the whole gay right movements. This is not only unfair, these kind of actions championed by gay rights activists only pushes people to become more reactionary. I am still for gay rights, but this kind of treatment is uncalled for….it is simply a civil war. It does not bring supporters to gay movement, it pushes people away and humanists like me would have to think twice again if it is a cause worth fighting for….this is not the kind of movement I would want to give my support.
