I think what most people don’t understand is that regardless of her stance on same sex marriage, Carrie breached her contract in more than just one way with the Miss California USA system. HAD she just been honest and upfront with the photos, NONE of this would have happened. Also, she’s NOT allowed to have her own PR person, and she’s supposed to maintain contact with her state directors. She’s not upholding her end of the bargain.

If she wants to represent divisive orgs., then she needs to do that as Carrie Prejean, NOT while she’s Miss California USA. If her title doesn’t get stripped, then her reign ends in 5 months. Either way, she needs to get her act together!

And for that “c*ke snorting girl from KY”… Mr. Trump gave her a chance to redeem herself, and offered her substance abuse assistance, AND she’s been clean ever since. **MOST** employers will offer their employees assistance (rehab, or something comparable based on the Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) they could have in place) before they are terminated.

Miss Prejean, KEEPS lying, and defending her decisions, and if FAR from accepting her blame in this whole thing.

I will say that the backlash she is receiving is a bit much, but she brought all this media attention upon herself. Unfortunately, she has to deal with that now.

All these comments are so hateful and judgemental. If someone has a differing opinion they are immediately labeld with derogatory names. Part of being an American is understanding that all people have rights and that no one should be attacked for having a different opinion than yourself. Do I believe that Miss California answered the question in the best way possible? no. She is certainly entiltled to her beliefs and has the right to voice them. She’s definitely entitled to her own opinion, but she can’t breach a contract without consequences. No doubt that the Miss California people may not like her views, but if she hadn’t breached her contract, there was nothing they could do about it. There’s no way she could be fired simply for the answer she gave during the pagent.

Ward Churchill, the loopy Colorado Professor, called some of the 9/11 victims ‘Little Eichmanns”. People were justifiably outraged, but he was a tenured professor who couldn’t be fired for those remarks alone. CU sniffed around and found he’d plagarized some of his research and he go the boot.

People can say what they want, but they had better have a squeaky clean record if they do. Miss California’s case won’t hold up in court. She clearly breached two clauses of her contract.
