Legalize Steroids in all professional sports. It would be much more entertaining. The Athletes now that they’re not good for them health wise, so it should be there decision what goes in and out of their bodies.

Sometimes the players take medicine that isn’t even on the banned list and they still get suspended because Major League Baseball doesn’t know how to run it’s own league. Sucks for the Dodgers, but Manny will be back at the 80 game mark. Still plenty of time to make up any ground that the still may not even lose.

What this means for the Dodgers is that they will have to wait until July 3rd to resume their dominance of a very weak NL West division. they still win the division and possibly go to the World Series. Manny doesn’t opted out of his contract and he is a Dodger again next season. if no other team bought this past winter then who is going to buy this next winter? for even close to the $20 million option he has on the books. Plus, the LA fans could care less about this type of thing, it is probably expected in most people’s minds. July 3rd this will all be forgotten and Mannywood will be back to normal…

HCG is prescribed for many things, E.D., low natural test levels, etc. If he wanted to cheat? he has the means and way to purchase HGH and IGF-1 which is NOT detectable, or he could purchase underground designer steroids which mimick certain steroids in thier effects, but have diff chem structures to fool a test. HCG stimulates Leydig cells in the testicles to produce more testosterone. As a result, it raises one’s natural levels of testosterone (although with prolonged use, it can down-regulate the testes). If Manny took a significant dose of HCG and did not take an aromatase inhibitor (probably also banned), he would end up with Man-boobs due to the conversion of some of the tesosterone to estrogen.
Anyway, if his doctor prescribed HCG, the diagnosis must have been that he had hypogonadism, which can be caused by several conditions, one of which (and perhaps the most likely) is previous long-term steroid use.
