Carrie didn’t say anything about “sinning” in her comment about not wanting same sex marriage being part of HER belief system. Carrie knows that we alll sin. It is by God’s grace that he gave HIS one and only son Jesus to die a horrible death on a cross for YOU. If you were the only person on earth he still would have died for you so that you could live with him in heaven. He loves you and knows that we all sin. It is only by his perfect GRACE that we are saved. Let’s stop trashing Carrie and just respect her for her honesty and willingness to stand by her beliefs and not be PC like the rest of the world. Kudos to Carrie!
The Bible was written by fallible men, not by God. The Bible didn’t fall out of the sky bound in the King James Version. Jesus was a Jew and a man with some great things to say, he wasn’t supernatural.
If I was the only person on earth the Bible would have been written in a different manner. It would have been written that Jesus didn’t die on the cross for my sins, he died because of fear & greed by those in Power. Look at human nature & motive and most of the time, it will explain cause and effect.
My favorite saying by Jesus was, “The Kingdom of Heaven is here and now or it is nowhere at all”. In other words there will be no other place we will go to, there will be no second coming, and for us to experience the Kingdom, we better learn to get along all of us, because it’s not going to happen anywhere else. It’s in the here and now and during your lifetime. As the person you currently are, you have only this one chance. This is how I try and live my life. You don’t have to be a believer in the SuperNatural to have a good heart. We all struggle all of us to keep that good heart in us all the time.
The conflict we have is in our beliefs about our Religions, not in the goodness of Man and what we can become. We just need to change those Religious beliefs and what they may call Faiths. Faiths that are on a shaky foundation. Jesus would be appalled at what Christians have turned their Religion into, and that is glorifying and supernaturalizing his life more than glorifying and truly living by what he said.
