Doran Sears, 37, was stopped by officers near North 100th Street and North Thompson Peak Parkway in Scottsdale shortly after 1 p.m. Wednesday.
Police allege that a preliminary breath test yielded .40, but official results of a blood draw that was conducted were pending, said Scottsdale Police Department spokesman Officer Dave Pubins.
Sears remained in police custody after going before a municipal judge Thursday morning, Pubins said.

I agree with BRAINS and I KNOW DORAN. He is far from a douche! Everyone has problems and unfortunately he hasn’t received the help that he needs. It doesn’t excuse what he has done, I have known Doran for years and he has the biggest heart and would never hurt anyone intentionally. He clearly needs help to rehabilitate him to be a functioning member of society, not sitting in jail to rot. That’s what is wrong with our system. He is a wonderful person who is very intelligent. It’s really is unfortunate that people can so easily pass judgement on someone who they clearly do not know. I agree that Dori (which is what he went by for a long time..if you really know him) clearly needs to get some professional help and he should be lucky that he didn’t kill anyone in the process of driving to where ever he was going to. There are so many people that do not learn from the first time of getting a DUI which obviously in this case he did not. The guy makes enough money that he could’ve had a car pick him up and take him to where ever he was going that day. I know from personal experience not to mess around with Sheriff Joe Aarpio in this town because it truly is “no tolerance”. Anyone who continues to drive around this town drunk and thinks they’re invincible will only find themself joining Dori on Dirty Scottsdale’s DUI hall of shame. Dori I truly hope you do get some help because you are a good guy…. Just gotta stop trying to live life like you’re 25 that’s all.

I lost my father in law recently from Drinking and Driving and I am thankful Doron got pulled over before anyone got hurt.

Dude…I used to party with Doron many a year ago when we were all still young and hot! He was a big drunky back then but so was I. It’s funny because there are certain people you will never forget in life. For me, he was one of them. Doron was by far, the most gorgeous man I have ever seen, even to this day.
