THE DIRTY ARMY: Nik, here is Stephen. He was just chilling with a dude friend at the first bar I was at Mani’s playing shuffle board and drinking. Then he came to the second bar I was at: Kips. He was ordering shots of Patron… kinda douchey when the bar is filled with college kids getting $2 whiskey/cokes. He ended up chilling and sitting down with the girls I was with, one who eventually puked on his table because it was her 21st birthday. Nobody recognized him in Berkeley because he has gained so much weight.

I tend bar at night in a little campus bar like this. There’s nothing wrong with a guy coming in and quietly ordering his favorite tequila, you can’t hate on a guy who just likes what he likes. But there ARE dudes who make a big deal about it, and that’s what makes them douches. One of the professors is a regular and I keep some nice Courvoisier on hand for him, he never makes a big deal of it, he just enjoys it and reads his book. But when the black students roll in and demand Courvoisier and Coke, I tell them I don’t have any. It’s all about what you’re after. If you want nice booze, that’s fine, but if you want attention you’re a douche.
A+ response….it’s not the beverage that makes you a douche it’s the way you go about ordering it.
