THE DIRTY ARMY: Nik, have you ever heard of www.thedjlist.com? Apparently it list the top DJ’s in the world like 1 to 500. I was checking it out and I don’t see any of your boys ANYWHERE on the list? DJ Vice, DJ Hollywood, DJ 5, Samantha Ronson, Sparks, etc…no where to be seen. What is up with that? Do you like loser DJ’s?
That website is a farce. Everyone that is truly in the nightlife industry knows that is a pay for play site. They scam the public into thinking they have a legitimate system of ranking the worlds best DJ’s. The truth is any DJ can be on that list for the right price! I have been saving this picture below for the right moment and I think this is it. The DJ next to Will Smith was the greatest DJ of our Generation and he has never once made the top 100 on that bull sh*t list. Can you you guess who he is?- nik

Noone plays a dj am, dj vice, dj hollywood song…those guys play tiesto, kaskade, burren, etc….Vegas Djs can rock a party but they just mash songs thats it. List has the right people on it but the order is controversial.

I’ve seen AVB & Tiesto live (although AVB at a bigger venue) they are phenominal live and the crowds they draw are huge! They sell out stadiums in Europe and i’m sure they could sell out larger venues in North America if they were given the opportunity.. 2nd DJ AM , RIP btw, never was the best. He just mixed and blended songs together. The people on the above list create their own music and mix it in. That makes a great DJ, not someone who can just hit play. If you really wanna compare Tiesto, Armin, Guetta with DJ AM than you should retire your post as a blogger.

You can’t compare DJ AM to any of those DJs on the list. Cause the DJs on the list are mostly “MUSIC PRODUCERS”. Im sure you have never seen AM spin cause if you did you would have known how good he really was. He could do Q-Bert type scratching and transforming and had a flare for programming music and not just “Hip-Hop”.
Name 1 guy out of that top 25 who can scratch and transform…You can’t. Real DJs win DMC battles. The rest of them are just record players who can remix/create trancy songs.
