George St. Pierre Is The Best Fighter On Earth

THE DIRTY ARMY: Nik, for the first time I watched a UFC fight and the fighters weren’t hugging it out on the mat. This one was actually a real fight.  Not dudes rolling around together. Question is? Is G.S.P. real or fake SGM?  I mean NO one can beat this guy at 170 he is the best and broke Josh Koscheck eye socket cause he is such a bad ass and the best part is the GSP is a very respectable fighter and person.  He nevers talks any sh*t and he is the best.

GSP (Fake SGM) will only be considered the best if Dana White lets him and Anderson Silva get in the ring together and meet at a weight class in the middle. I decided.- nik

Nik- what weight class would “in the middle” be?

Anderson cuts down from 220 to make 185. U can’t have him move down in weight. He used to fight at WW (170) but he won’t be able to be the same fighter if he cuts any further than 185 lbs. GSP needs to step up in weight and even if he does, he will be at a BIG BIG size disadvantage.

These two will never fight and should never fight. Size difference is too large.

GSP said hes going to stay at middleweight when he is going to fight Silva. He doesn’t want to switch between welterweight and middleweight. So theres not going to be a catchweight fight.

    Anonymous says:

GSP would have to fight him at a catch weight like 179 and he would be at a disadvantage because Anderson naturally caries a lot more weight than him.
That being said, GSP is so athletic that he would adjust and give Anderson a beating.

    Z I double G Y says:

I highly doubt that GSP & Silva will fight a catchweight bout. Silva has to get through Vitor Belfort first (which I think he very easily will. I wish Silva was fighting Okami instead) and GSP has to get through Jake Shields before that super fight would even happen and he may just end up fighting the winner of BJ Penn vs Jon Fitch, which would be a rematch for Fitch and a 3rd bout against Penn, who he’s already beaten twice. GSP hasnt faced anyone who has the grappling style of Shields. Of course GSP is a great wrestler as well, thats what makes the fight so interesting. GSP also said if he fights Silva it will be a permanent move to 185 and he wont go back to 170. Can you blame him? He’s beaten everyone he could in his division, so has Silva (even some at 205).

Im more interested in seeing the featherweight & bantumweight division fights. Miguel Torres vs Urijah Faber would be a great fight. Jose Aldo will probably move to the 155 division and destroy everyone. His leg kicks are the best in MMA and I dont see anyone matching his speed, even Frankie Edgar. Ben Henderson and Anthony Pettis will add even more depth and excitement to the booming lightweight division. This is definitely an interesting year for the UFC.

    .... says:

Sorry but if GSP can actually finish a fight, it looks like he could actually beat Silva. Silva was man handled by Sonnen until he made a mistake and was caught. Silva definitely didn’t look like the best to me. So that makes me severely doubt if he could actually beat Georgie. And FACT I so agree with you. Even if I am a huge Georgie fan, I don’t consider him the best. He hasn’t finished fights since he became champ.

    Who Dat?? says:

    Best P4P mma fighters:
    1. Jose Aldo- Absolutely DESTROYED the supposed #2 featherweight Urijah Faber then KO’d Gamburyan. I don’t know if anyone can challenge him in right now in the FW division.

    2. Anderson Silva- His last 3 fights have definitely taken away from his untouchable mystique, but the bottom line is he won all of them and has not lost a fight in the UFC. Even going into the fight injuried and with Sonnen on steriods, he defeated Sonnen. Lately he hasn’t looked great, but he has won and until somebody defeats him (and it won’t be Belfort), Silva deserves to be on the list.

    3. GSP- He completely ran through his division and really doesn’t have many options left. Dana White has said Jake Shields is getting the next shot at him (though I dont think he deserves it). All thats left after that is rematches with Fitch, Alves, Penn. Maybe a fight against Condit or Kampmann. Maybe try and get Nick Diaz back to UFC and make that fight happen. But I think he’s gonna have to make a move out of the division unless he wants to continue fighting the same chumps he’s already beaten.

Other fighter who can be in the mix:
Fedor- While there is no question Fedor is a legend and great fighter, his last fight was a loss. He got sloppy and Werdum caught him. Fight over. So to include him with other champions is tough. Like everyone else, I would love to see how he would do against UFC HW such as Dos Santos, Velasquez, and Carwin (Fedor would destory Lesnar) but I doubt we will see that as long as he is with M1. I just wish Strikeforce would stop f- around and have him and Overeem fight already.

Shogun Rua- I know some may disagree with this one, but I believe a 100% health Shogun is the best fighter in the toughest division, the light heavyweight. He has become very injury-prone since coming to the UFC and that may hinder him from being what his full potential is. There are a lot of good fighter in LHW, (Evans, Rampage, Machida, Cavalcante, Lawal)but anyone who saw this guy fight in Pride knows that a health S

    SELLOUT SUCKS says:

    TAPOUT RIPS OFF INVESTORS

Tapout investors Bert Bedrosian and Kenneth Stickney are suing the clothing and merchandise company over a September transaction in which the brand was acquired by Authentic Brands Group for significantly less than what the company was worth, according to the plaintiffs. Bedrosian and Stickney are claiming that the board managers — including onetime Tapout President Marc Kreiner and co-founder Daniel “Punkass” Caldwell — ignored their fiduciary duties to investors and acted unconscionably in selling the brand to ABG.

Because many pertinent monetary figures have been redacted from the publicly available version of the complaint, Sherdog was unable to report the exact amounts at issue in the sale and the suit. After ignoring two offers from outside parties to purchase the brand, the plaintiffs claim, the defendants misled investors regarding the nature of the ABG transaction, and the compensation the plaintiffs will receive for the sale is “far less than they ever agreed to.” The plaintiffs are asking that the transaction be rescinded and that they be justly compensated for the damages inflicted upon them.

Regardless, Anderson Silva is untouchable. He was born with it. I know, he is overrated to all “die hard” fans of the UFC, I mean the MMA sport, because the favored, are the “pop iconic” fighters, and unfortunately, they are not at his calibur. The best excuse to avoid Silva “I think Silva should be the one to loose (or gain) weight, I prefer to remain in my weight class.” Dana White hates it, because he can’t market Silva to all you “die hard” fans.Suck it, he will remain one of the best!

    Steven Hendriks says:

I love how people talk sht about successfull athletes. Both GSP and Anderson Silva are great fighters. Sure GSP hasnt finished a fight in awhile, but he is still winning them. To the people bashing Silva for getting “beat up” by Sonnen, you’re dumb. Sonnen had more damage on him done by Silva then what Sonnen did to Silva. Sonnen was a superior wrestler that night but his jui jitsu and ground-n-pound was no where to be found. I’m not bashing him, I’m just pointing out facts. Sonnen is a great fighter. He just needs to stay away from the performance enhancers. If GSP and Silva continue to dominate their weight classes they will eventually fight. I feel that UFC is doing what they do best by building up the hype for the fight. The more they make people wait, more people want to watch, more people will pay for the PPV and buy tickets to see the event. It’s a money thing. Don’t forget what Wu-tang said, “Cash Rules Everything Around Me.”
