THE DIRTY ARMY: Nik, well not sure if you do companies Nik but this company Outdoor Adventures Whistler is the definition of Dirty. Killing 100 dogs execution style, they should be shut down! Since the tourism in Whitsler has been on a steep downhill since you stupid ass Americans ruined your economy so now everyone is broke as hell and cannot afford any vacations, 100 dogs were slaughtered in the most disgusting way, many were shot multiple times and some even got their throat cut and just bleed to death. This is not right and I blame all you stupid Americans for the death of these good dogs.

Get the deets! The adventure company bought the dogsledding company in May of 2010 and the dogs were slaughtered in April. The fault lies solely with the previous ownership group, Whistler dogsled. While I do not work for them, Whistler Outdoor Adventure is staffed by warm-hearted humane people. They don’t deserve to be dragged through the mud because they are stuck in a tough situation.

They were sled dogs, which are pack animals unlike domesticated dogs. I volunteered in northern BC for a while and saw quite a few; they’re not animals you can simply give up for adoption and take home to the kids… if the company could not support them anymore there are really only 2 options: Kill them or let them loose. Whistler isn’t really the place you would want to let a giant pack of wolves loose tho… I suppose another option would be to transport them somewhere deeper in the mountains and release them there, but that would cost a lot more and in the business world generally profits > ethics.
