He also pulls pranks like putting sugar in his gas tank and super glewing the locks to his own club to trick his staff into thinking the worlds against him.Did we forget to mention he invites any girl that wears there bra and panties up to the booth because the door cover is over ten dollars and they cannot afford clothing?? This guy sucks! HE went to The City Nightclub in club in Portland in his late twentys and opened this club called The Escape now and is just trashy. He even told a wrap saying the guy that shot up “The Zone” went to The Escape and felt accepted and didn’t at that club and shot that asian girl . This guy needs to be stopped! Post this please. I used to work for Scooter. Two years, i busted my ass for him. I even drove all the way to San Fran on a saturday morning right after close so that he could have a new mixer to play on that night. Shortly after he fired me over rumors. I had to go to the emergency room to get checked out in order to work that night becuz of these rumors. I racked up an 800 dollar emergency bill, he didnt offer to pay for it since he told me to go, and when i got back he had the nerve to call me a phyco, and a pathological liar. saying that i was just feeding into drama and that i was a piece of sh*t and that i should go crawl into the gutter i came from. F*ck him, and his club. Im glad he has ran his club into the ground and it is now a place for minors to get drunk and high and almost over dose on the dance floor, maybe one day soon he will watch his dreams crash around him and have people tell him the same F*cked up sh*t he has told to others. Actually he “works with minors” because he fucking believes in us. Because he believes kids like me should have a safe place to go like the escape where we feel accepted in our own skin. This is all true. I got 86d from there a long time ago because Scooter was afraid I’d tell the “papparazzi” about his “playboy” girlfriend. Whaaaat? The PAPPARAZZI?? Absoultely delusional. Hes a washed up drug using mess who is on a serious power trip and has been for way too long. The youth of the queer community need to know that once they are over 18 there are other options and things will get better. I am forever scared by the level of craziness I experienced at the Escape as a young person. It gets better than DJ Scooter kids, I promise. There is a whole other community out there. I wish people in power could keep kids safe from Scooter and his erratic behavior and nearly lethal tolerance of drug use and intoxication at his club. I encourage anyone to report any illegal activity or abuse by him. That is one way we can get rid of him eventually.
All this sh*t that is being posted is somewhat true and somewhat not true scooter s a drug adict and does treat people like sh*t but if you realize even if he does do all this a lot of you people did it to when you first started going there you just grew up, you should be happy when you werent of age yet you had somewhere to go and meet new people. i agree with all of the stuff you people said but for real you gotta think of what he has doen for you.
I will not discount what anyone has says, i used to go to the escape when i was younger and i also worked there…..for longer than i care to remember. Scooter i believe is sick, on top of the many drug issues, was very bipolar, he had his moments when i could swear to god that he was the greatest person to be around, and in a second a complete 180. The many paranoia episodes were not fun to deal with either, every weekend it was “The club is going to close” this person and that person is trying to take over the club, is saying this that and the other, saying that a person is 86′d one weekend and the next is wondering where they are and why they are not there supporting the club. i will say that i do appreciate that i had the club growing up, and that it is still around for those who do need a place to be able to be themselves, its still a good place to go as long as you can manage to stay out of the politics of it.

This is the kind of stuff that really isn’t necessary. The club will always be a place for us to come and dance and escape from the outside world. The club goes through many ups and downs, and this is what drags the club down. We must stop all the drama and gain a little more maturity. What comes from anyone posting on this site? Sure, you get things off your chest, but I don’t think sinking to this level is appropriate.
I understand that things have happened between you and the owner, but keep that between the two of you.
Let’s try and move forward and try to make the escape a positive experience for the new generation of kids coming into the club.
