Obama has declared a state of emergency and the devastation is just mind-blowing. There are several fundraisers going on tonight. The AEMA needs all the help it can get and handsonbirmingham.org also needs help. I’ve been such a fan of yours and thedirty.com’s for so long and right now if you could just help us spread awareness of how truly devastated our state is, that would be so amazing. It’s going to be a hard day for a lot of families here. MANY are now homeless. I got lucky, but I have a lot of friends that lost everything (and no they didn’t live in trailers lol) There will be most without power for the next 4 to 5 days. My heart is just breaking as I write in to you. I know you are good at making things happen. Help us with our awareness, Nik!

Well I live in L.A. now but I still have a great deal of family in Alabama (all educated btw) so for one, my family and friends are safe, and im super lucky for that. But seeing everything said from both sides, ppl commenting from the south saying “lets see who helps us’ and talking shit about other countries disasters, 1. you’re super wrong, i’ve been told by everyone there that the relief help is extrodinary and they have so many ppl and volunteers. AWESOME btw. 2. How are you any different from Nik, talking about other countries natural disasters and diminishing the terrible things thats happened to those ppl, were all humans right? slightly hypocritical dont ya think?(partly why i moved from the south, but no, not everyone there is a bible thumping idiot. 3. Nik, it was in slight poor taste but I think its understood this is not a website where ppl should really come for sympathy, not exactly your forte’, but thats known, isin’t it, this site is like your alter ego not a definition of who you are.
