Pulling A Joe Pa
THE DIRTY ARMY: Nik, I propose a new DA term called “Joe Paterno” is essentially not calling your buddy on bullsh*t. Not fulfilling his duty to a girl, helping you out when you move… turning the cheek when he pulls a Greg move or using the “Bro” code as an excuse to not do the honorable thing. Whether it comes to day to day sh*t or just rude, vile coverups. We as men need a chin check and to not let each other get away with hideous sh*t, because we don’t wanna deal with it. Real gentleman face the music and dont let their buddies get away with everything.THAT is the honorable code of conduct for Gentleman IMO, I assume you agree?
Never Joe Pa your real friends. Just because you don’t do wrong in your inner circle doesn’t mean it’s right.- nik

Paterno had no legal responsibility to report unverified second-hand information to the police. He correctly reported what the eyewitness had told him to the athletic director, who was his superior and the person directly responsible for the integrity of the Penn State athletics program and the proper use of its facilities. Coaches coach teams. Directors direct programs. Apparently the only real legal concern is whether Paterno’s grand jury testimony in the last year reflects that he gave the athletic director a fair and accurate paraphrase of what he had been told. Paterno testified that he told the athletic director he understood Sandusky was engaged in “doing something of a sexual nature” to a boy. If accurate, the warning he gave was clearly explicit enough for the athletic director to act. These facts alone do not justify firing Paterno
Let me start by saying you sir are a MORON. Since when does a legal obligation or responsibility equivocate to being right or wrong. Do you understand how many wrong things can be done in this world “legally”. This is about morals and ethics, not law.
1. Unverified second-hand information= false, it happened and that’s why Penn state band Sandusky from bringing children on campus (read grand jury indi.)
2. He correctly reported= were you there to hear what he said? you even contradict this at the end of your statement. Moreover since when is a grown man doing something of sexual nature with a young boy in a shower OK, or not merit police involvement?
Think if it was his grandkid he would have handled it the same?
3. AD is JoePA superior= lmao, JoPa made significantly more than even the University President per year: a clear indication of the power, focus, and “hierarchy” of the University
4. Coaches coach= are you living under a rock? that man was Penn State. he was their face, fundraising puppet, and reason for “prominence”
5. Directors direct programs= yeah just like the President is the one whom “directs” this country. Not lobbyists, corporate America, or other interests.
5. These facts alone do not justify firing Paterno= no $hit. You can’t just cherry-pick statements and whala, a valid conclusion! You have to take all the facts to understand how to get there.
For all you whining about JopA being a scapegoat the truth is the important players at the University knew about the “allegations” for years and facilitated sandusky through allowing him to continue to use the facilities after several witness accounts from Penn state employees, and victims. They tried slowing him down, while saving face, by banning children from facilities and even forcing his resignation in 2005. I mean the GA who witnessed it is still a wide receivers coach and never left, hmmmm. Some families that came forward in the past never said anything again, hmmmmm. Other employees that witnessed, like the janitor in the grand jury indictment, never said a peep again, hmmm. Sanduskys charity is for “at risk” children across the state in which he would mentor boys, hmmmmm. He was banned from school districts in Penn for innappropriate behavior yet no red flags, hmmm. What if they were covering for each other, hmmmm. I mean this evil man had the audacity to name his autobiography Touched.
No one knew, or they had cash stuffed in their mouths and a legacy to defend? Unfortunately it didn’t stop, and they still gave sandusky emeritus status after retirement (keys, office, facility and shower access etc)- Im sure as not to stir up controversy. And now with new victims coming forward that didn’t have hush money thrown at them, they are beyond screwed ethically and you’re favorite, legally.
Eloquent, yet informative without being contrived. Thank you. Such a tragedy for so many involved, but especially Sanduskys victims. There IS indeed a special place for people like him…
I couldn’t have said it better myself! Things are not adding up in this case.
WOW!!! He had a moral obligation. This was an innocent child who while this was going on was wishing with all his heart that someone would walk in and save him from such horrible act. How do you think he felt when that someone did walk in and turn away as if it were two concenting adults engaging in a sexual act? He send out the message to both the boy and that beast that what was going on was okay…..shame on anyone who would turn their cheek to such an act! If that were your child would you not expect an adult to stop it???
It looks to me as if he is saying:
“My dream has always been to find one this long”
thats funny
how do you not know he didn’t do wrong..? he probably did. Anyone ok with touching little boys, has probably done it. Bottom line! Plus, a previous post on here from a dude that went there said Joe probably did it too..
So when you pull a Joe Pa- its sexually abusing a person.. not protecting your nasty crew..
I know more details will be about.. and the public will feel pretty dumb trying to protect this old nasty fart.
Putting your friend in check for not helping you move & putting your friend in check for molesting 10 year old boys are 2 different things buddy.
when an older woman trys to sleep with a younger man, she is a cougar. when an older man try to sleep with a young boy, he is a nittany lion.
For finding humor is this situation, you deserve a spot in hell right next to Jerry Sandusky. Why are you calling innocent college students child molesters/rapists?
Believe me rape went on @ that school long before there was any jerrys kids nekkid in the shower.
Mad hoes got ruffied & sanduskied before there was a sandusky lol
I have seen a lot of people who are not part of the Penn State community make comments about the Penn State scandal. They think it is ridiculous that students and alumni are pissed off. Let me try to explain. If you clearly read the Grand Jury report, you would know a Penn State GA (Mike McQueary…) witnessed Jerry Sandusky sexually assaulting victim 2. Instead of calling …the police, he repo…rted it to his supervisor Joe Paterno the next day. Joe Paterno then set up a meeting with his supervisor, Tim Curley. The meeting took place on a Sunday in Joe Paterno’s home. Tim Curley and Gary Shultz, then met with Mike McQueary to discuss what he saw. Curley and Shultz never reported the incident further. Their reports to the grand jury were not credible. No where in the report does it say anything about Joe Paterno knowing about the crimes and not doing anything? So why are we mad? We’re mad because the media found a scape goat in Joe Paterno. We’re mad because they blamed him instead of Mike McQueary, Tim Curley, Gary Shultz, and Jerry Sandusky. Were mad because when you search “Penn State scandal”, Joe Paterno’s picture comes up. We’re mad because after 61 years as a Penn State employee, the Board of Trustees fired him over the phone. We’re mad because they admit that all the facts are not present yet. We’re mad because the school let Tim Curley take a leave, Gary Shultz resign, and Mike McQueary keep his job. This is issue is bigger than football; Joe Paterno is bigger than football. He is a man that has raised millions of dollars for my school. He is a symbol of the community. I have literally felt awful during all of this. I feel awful for the kids that had to go through something that nobody should endure. I pray for them, and all children that are treated poorly. I feel awful about how people are portraying Penn State, and The Second Mile. I pray for the victims, and hope they find peace. I pray that nothing like this happens again.
amen.
NO WAY NO WAY “Joe Pa” didnt know this sick fuk was a perv NO F_ING WAY!!!! Anyone that defends any of that football is f-ing dellusional.
I disagree. When you catch your buddy with his Greg in a kid, dog, sheep, cat or a chick from Canada AND you don’t say anything. You pulled a JoePA.
JoePa: When you see your friend doing something illegal and you keep your mouth shut.
Honestly, Joe should have brought this to the police. the guy was raping a ten yr old boy. Thats not a harmless crime, That is the Dirty of the dirt. unaccpetable. should be castrate, hangs cut off, and left to roam the streets. Sandusky now either commits suicide or gets killed in jail. The guys in prison dont stand for child molesters. esspecially same sex molestors. He is going to be beat and raped. I say suicide within a year. Heard a good one for the next time I see a penn st fan. I heard they are changing the college from Penn St to Neverland Ranch.
in response to the truth, the school did and runs the possibility of lossing funding due to the…. to quote rick perry oops.
everyone is mad at joePA but he isn’t the one that committed the crime. I’m sure there are a lot of politics, favorites, and other things like that going on at penn state that helped joePA make the decision to take what he heard to his superior. If you were at work and you heard of a crazy scandal or someone was stealing or doing something wrong, what would you think? call the police or go to your higher up? I’m sure if joePA went straight to the police without contacting his superior first it would have been his ass. penn state as in any other great college or institution takes pride in keeping their name a good name, if joePA just went and ruined that on his own I’m sure he was thinking about consequences. I’m sure he had reasons that he didn’t go to the police, but he did do something. he could have turned his head to it all, but he didn’t. HE DID take action, what he felt was the right thing to do. who is to say he is wrong for deciding to take it to his superior before the police? i think he got the shittiest end of all of this, besides of course the bad guy, sandusky. how is the media and the whole US so focused on what something joePA did wrong, why don’t we all focus on the fact that no matter how, sandusky is getting punished for his actions. focus on that and leave poor joePA alone, HE IS NOT THE BAD GUY
