THE DIRTY ARMY: Nik, I’ve been with my high school sweetheart for 11 years now and at the at of 26 we are finally getting married in October. We have been through everything together and without a doubt she is the one for me. But in the last year or so, she has been getting a whole lot of facial hair, like A LOT. She has sideburns now longer than mine and the worst part it, it seems like she has a mustache growing in… She is Italian and Iranian, probably the hottest girl you will see but the fact that when I look at her now it seems like there is a shadow above her lip.. thats how bad it has been getting. She wouldn’t tell me but I can tell when she gets it waxed because she will come home and no shadow will be above her lip for a day or two, and then BOOM comes right back. It is to the point to where I am embarrassed to go out with her during the day for lunch, because that is all I think about. I even changed all the light bulbs in our house so everything is dimmer and it doesn’t bother me that much. Nik, how do I tell her that she needs to fix this because its driving me insane.

She might have PCOS. An elevation in certain hormones can produce facial hair in women. She needs to find a good waxer ASAP! You NEED to tell her, gently. Or, send her this pic through the mail.

Spontaneous change in facial/body hair is a common symptom of a hormonal/glandular problem. Tell her your concerned about her health and you just noticed it recently changing. Either way it would probably help the situation to point it out to her in a concerned manner

I have that too, not really all the way under my chin but the sideburns. Luckily I’m blonde so it’s not really noticeable unless you get up close, but it SUCKS!!!! It’s the reason I hate wearing my hair up, and I had a boyfriend point it out once and some friends. Hate it. Wow! This is by far the most retarded post I’ve ever read. If you care enough to adjust the lights in the rooms, ask for advice etc then you really don’t want to break up with her.
