Cheryl Jones Mug Shot: Mother Of Bengals Cheerleader Sarah Jones And Principal At Twenhofel Middle School Cheryl Jones Indicted On Tampering With Evidence
Jones’ mother, Cheryl Jones was also indicted by the Grand Jury on a charge of tampering with physical evidence. Cheryl Jones is the principal at Twenhofel Middle School in Independence. She is on paid administrative leave at this time and her bond is set at $30,000, while Sarah Jones faces a bond of $50,000.
Sarah Jones resigned from teaching in November, the same month in which she appeared on the “Anderson Cooper Show” on Local 12 to confront a man she was suing for defamation.
Sarah Jones claimed rumors posted about her on Dirty.com, saying she’d had sex with Bengals players and had a sexually transmitted disease, were ruining her image as a role model for her students, threatening her job, and affecting her family. A U.S. District Trial judge set a trial date in the case for June.
Attorney Eric Deters is representing the Jones family — he’s currently under suspension from the Kentucky Bar Association. Deters’ law partner Charles Lester released a statement saying “Sarah Jones and Cheryl Jones will be entering not guilty pleas and we will be asking for the state to produce all their evidence for our review. Sarah has maintained her innocence. the indictment of her mother is completely baseless.”
Lawmakers strengthened Kentucky’s sex abuse laws several years ago. It’s now a felony for a person in authority to have consensual sexual relations with someone under 18. In other instances, Kentucky’s age of consent is 16 years old.
Jones and her mother will both face a Kenton County judge on Monday, April 2 at 9:00 a.m. The Bengals tell us… “the club is aware of the situation, and it’s an ongoing process to collect the information that can guide appropriate actions as warranted.”

I’m quit shocked by this news! Cheryl was my principal in middle school, 2007 and I never expected this. Cheryl keep your head up and get out of this situation! This is nuts. If her daughter was sleeping with the high school student, that is freaking gross!!

I told this woman 5 years ago karma was coming for her! She treated some of those kids horrible I know I’m a parent.
