THE DIRTY ARMY: Nik, how come in our society today everyone thinks you need to have blue or green eyes to be sexy. Personally I think it’s BS. I have such beautiful big brown eyes and my dumb ass boyfriend has never once complimented me on them. Instead he was going through my instagram, came across this picture of Chin-Chilla and could not stop talking about her eyes. Not right. Am I trippin?

The only reason such a big deal are made of eyes are are of colors other than brown is because they are less in number and that makes them rare or not common. The sad part is that there is a nature of some humans to covet things that are rare, thus devaluing things that are common. It only takes us to change our thoughts about something. its because dark rings around the iris are found attractive, even subconsciously, and its easier to have noticeably dark rings (say, dark blue around light blue eyes,) when you have lighter eyes. my eyes are brown with a dark brown ring around them but its less noticeable because theyre both dark.

I’m white with medium brown eyes & I hate the color… It’s boring. The reason light eyes are so beautiful is because they are unnatural! And rare (only 2% of the world’s entire population). Luckily my dad has silvery blue eyes and my husband’s are green, so the kids could turn out with just about anything!

Two brown eyed people with a recessive brown eyed gene as well will only produce brown eyed children. But since I have brown eyes (that are actually dark green/orange up close) with a recessive blue eyed gene, and my husband has green eyes with a recessive blue eyed gene, our kids could have any eye color. You must be some race other than white in order to not understand this. You probably also aren’t aware that all white people are born with dark blue eyes–which I was; again, an indicator that I have a recessive blue eyed gene.

All eye colors can be beautiful. It’s not exactly the eye colors alone – it is how the color compliments your skin and your hair. There are so many different hair, skin, & eye colors. You just have to get the right mix to look beautiful. Blue can look bright & beautiful or bland & boring – it all depends on so many other factors.

Personally, I prefer light eyes. However, I find yellow/brown or cinnamon colored eyes my favorite. I also love chocolate brown eyes, but those follow after jade green.
And that picture? Either contacts or photoshop because that is NOT a natural eye color. It’s a pretty color-a few shades away from my favorite even-but it’s not natural and looks weird as an eye color.

As someone before me mentioned, that is NOT natural eye color. It’s edited. I honestly don’t like those eye pictures where it’s black and white an then there’s a splash of unrealistic bright color on the eye. I hate that. I like blue eyes, but that picture coul have easily been edited.
