Blame the Florida legislature for their stupid law. The way the law is written he’s allowed to shoot first if he felt his life was in danger. The prosecution must prove his guilt, he doesn’t need to prove his innocence. If the defense can show that Zimmerman feared for his life then he was within the law to shoot. If nobody can show what happened leading up to the altercation then the prosecution will have a difficult time getting a conviction. Then there will be riots. They should have taken the easy way out and blamed the legislature for the stupid law and then they could have avoided the trouble they are bound to have after the trial

I am, white, republican, fiscal conservative, pro gun, white collar professional. I also am an EMT and have seen lots of head trauma in my 20 years as a volunteer. First, The head is one of the most arterial rich areas on the body because of its importance. Even minor cuts will bleed profusely that the same size and depth cut on other parts of the body will bleed signifcantly less. While I cannot see the cuts themselves by the amount of blood I see on his head I would classify the cuts as minor cuts. When you compare these photos which I assume were taken “on scene” to what I saw when he was in the police station, which I saw nothing; i still classify them as minor.
The facts of the case that we know so far are, Zimmerman stalked this kid. At some point there was a confrontation(most likely initiated by zimmerman) and now Taryvon Martin is dead.
This will obviously play out in court but the fact that a child was dead and zimmerman was not immediately charged is incredible!

Zimmerman had the balls to follow and confront the kid. They probably got in a tussle and the kid rocked him pretty good. Zimmerman most likely panicked once he realized that he was getting rocked by a teenager (according to police docs, he initially knew the boy was a teen) so his punk ass–instead of finishing the fight like a man–pulled out the gun and shot.
