I herd from insiders that mark Cuban decided to demote him to minor league in Dallas about a month ago. I guess Lamar thought he is better than that. But we all know he needs to stay on e and out of the nba !

Nik: That has been reported on ESPN since Monday and Mark Cuban even gave an interview to ESPNDallas.com where he confirmed and explained the situation. So yeah, there is truth to it.

Here is exactly what happened, as reported by Skin (ESPN Dallas and Mavs broadcast team) who was told the entire story by an “unnamed Maverick employee”.
-Dallas was playing, and losing to, memphis in a game with playoff implications.
-During the first half, as usual, odom came in for a bit, played awful, got benched and then just sat there with no emotion. -Dallas started getting back in the game and each time our bench would cheer or get up, he just sat there (as always) and couldnt care less. Cuban obviously noticed this and having seen it too many times this season, he finally got so pissed that he followed the team into the locker room.
-Cuban goes into locker room and sees Odom was sitting down not paying attention.
-Cuban walks up to Odom, whos head is down, and kicks his shoe to get his attention.
-Cuban says “are you in or are you out”
-Odom says “stop playing games mark”
-Cuban then says “i guess you’re out” to which odom fired back something about being a “grown ass man”
-Cuban says he wants him gone and didnt want to pay him another penny. Odom then said “im not worried, im good, i got money like you mark”
-Cuban then said “I PAY MORE IN TAXES EACH YEAR THAN YOU’VE MADE IN YOUR ENTIRE CAREER” and walked out.
-After the game, Dirk, for whatever reason, gets into it with Odom. Vince carter and Brendan Haywood step in and basically threaten to kick Odom’s ass.
-Odom takes one last shot at us by wearing his Lakers championship shirt to dfw airport as he catches his flight back to LA to meet back up with his gorilla wife.

It was actually Lamar and Dirk that through down in the locker room at half time. Dirk had the upper hand and then it was broken up. Dirk went to Cuban and told him that Lamar had to go. That’s what went down.
After Odumdum played dead on the floor with a no-hit, Cuban took him to the back and asked him straight up “are you in or are you out?” Odumdumm told Cuban to stop playing games and Cuban said “that sounds like out to me”. Next day was in reserved non-playing. So long douchebag
