The Quality Of Men That Approached Me While I Was A Brunette Was Better
THE DIRTY ARMY: Nik, I have a bit of a problem. I am a natural blonde who has been dying my hair brunette for years! I look great with brunette hair because it makes my blue eyes pop. I want to go back to my natural color (Blonde) but dispute what you advise, I get the WORST attention as a blonde. When my hair has been brunette I’m generally approached by more mature men with better jobs (Sorry to say, but guys get your sh*t together) and all of the guys who hit on me tend to be very classy about it. Now, until a few years ago I was a blonde, I always got sleezy guys using terrible pick up lines and bad jokes or what ever they thought I’d fall for. Bottom line. The quality of men was WAY better as a brunette. But now I want to return to my natural color as a blonde, but I even though I have a boyfriend, I’m really not into all of the negative attention from guys when transitioning back. Nik, why do guys treat blondes different and what can I do to ward off the creepers?? I’ve been told by many people I look like Mirranda Kerr, I agree she looks better blonde.

Men who get Jealous don’t date blondes because they can’t handle all the attention blondes get . If a man wants a woman all to himself he dates a brunette because brunettes get less attention. Really? I’m a brunette and I get hit on literally everyday even at the grocery store. When I went blonde I got hit on by old douchebag business men mostly who were married and looking to cheat on their wives. Sorry but that sealed the deal for me. Blondes get hit on by douchbags, brunettes get hit on by quality men, with of course a few douches in between. By the way Nik, speak for yourself, not all men. Most that I know hate blondes. They think they all look too generic and all american. Not exotic at all.

I’m a blonde Nordic woman and i’m proud of my beautiful porcelain skin and my long flaxen hair because that’s the way I was born and I wouldn’t change a thing. Yeah brunettes look exotic but not everyone finds the exotic look attractive my ex boyfriend use to say exotic girls are hairy apes and a lot of other people say that as well I hear that all the time ! I used to have platinum blonde hair and guys rarely approached me for dates, maybe they were intimidated or automatically assumed I was a slut or a moron…so I only got hit on my ed hardy losers….so I went back natural and get approached all the time, but by nice guys…it’s a pleasant surprise. I’m staying dark. People also assumed I was stuck up or a b*tch with blonde hair which was so far from the truth!

This is so true. The men that have gone after me as a brunette are 100x better than the guys who approached me as a blonde. The kind of attention you get and the quality of men giving that attention is so much better as a brunette than a blonde. And I COMPLETELY DISAGREE with you Nik. Sex has ALWAYS been better for me as a brunette than as a blonde. I dont know what it is. But for me being a brunette is so much better than being a blonde.
I completely DISAGREE with you. I met nothing but douche guys when I had brown hair. When I dyed it blonde I got hit on all the time, and met better and more attractive men. I think the blonde hair gave me more confidence and confident men sensed that. I am also not a slut who sleeps with anyone so that also may be why I never met douche bags when blonde. Anyway, I barely got noticed as a brunette and when I did, it was by morons. Also everyone told me to dye it blonde because it would go good with my features and skin tone, and it did.
=P hmmm, well I’d like to point out that even as a brunette all types of guy approach u I cant agree with the fact that u will get hit on by classier man with either hair color. It depends where u go, who your around, your job, your behavior, what you look for in a man (thats what you’ll attract), and most important your looks. The better looking and more high quality, classy and educated you are the better the quality of man you can expect. I personally am a very educated brunette (and have been blonde) and take very good care of my appearance and I can honestly say I’ve been hit on by ALL types, and I can say it depends on the environment u r in (at the time and in general), and YOUR BEHAVIOR. There are certain characteristics the top quality men look for, they wanna beautiful, smart, educated LADY, that knows how to behave herself and carries herself with grace and class ALL DA TIME. It’s all about you, YOUR BEHAVIOR (and your look, your dressing style, makeup and etc) ATTRACTS EITHER THE LOWLIFE CRAP or decent men.
I have had very serious conversations with male friends and you would be surprised the things men look for and notice about girls.

LOL not actually true. I’m a brunette and I’m not hairy, I have high estrogen (blood tests will tell you whether or not you have more estrogen, not hair colour) and no creepy sideburns. I know lots of blondes who look manly, just as I know many brunettes who do. Hair colour won’t change whether or not you look feminine or masculine, it’s your facial features, bone structure, ect. I know a lot of hairy blondes too who are masculinized.

Wow, this is so true. My natural hair colour is a very light brown, almost blonde – I used to get really light highlights that made it appear as if I was actually full-on blonde. The type of attention I got with that hair colour SUCKED, majority of dudes were total sleezebags and immature losers, and nothing good ever came out of it for the couple years I had that colour. I’ve been going dark, dark brown for the past 3-4 years though and it’s been awesome. Mature, intelligent, classy older men (not OLD geezers, but just a couple years older who have their shit together), guys who actually take me seriously and aren’t in it because they’re dirty fucking horndogs. Never going blonde again, I look awesome as a brunette and I always get compliments on my hair colour since it suits my complexion a lot better than blonde anyways.

i feel self conscious as a blonde, esp as an avid read of this site. i can wear literally the same outfit as a blonde and a brunette but as a blonde i always felt like i was getting negative attention. i would wear a hl bandage dress, as a blonde i felt like guys were looking at me like i was a prostitute.

This is not always true because when I am brunette I still get hit on by d-bags. I get more attention blonde but either way no matter my hair color a d-bag always hits on me, so I don’t think its hair color I just think men just see someone who looks good and wants to try to holler at you no matter what color your hair is.
