THE DIRTY ARMY: Nik the Petroff Law Firm, Deedworks Fraud. Petroff Law Firm talk about “Mortgage Modification Fraud is Rampant” Really? Majority of the “clients they have are well off and are not affected by the “economy.” One particular client has a few houses in Brooklyn under his mothers name, few under his fathers, and the “client” has all the investment properties under his name. Mr. Petroff and the firm advised and walked him through defaulting on his payments to “modify” or lower his payments on the houses by doing one property at a time and claiming it as a primary residence. I dont know how legal that is since I am not a very educated lawyer like Mr. Petroff but that does not sound legal to a 5 year old. Furthermore, Petroff Law Firm is in business of quote on quote “saving houses” and supporting the “struggling” meanwhile he racks up his personal credit cards, does not pay them then battles in court to pay a portion. What type of business can such a legit guy really operate and what advices can such a person offers? I will let you decide….I just do not understand how this place was not investigated or brought to attention earlier. But then again, why would anyone if he reveals himself as the nicest boss? Constant raises, gets the entire company drunk every Friday. Hires young good looking girls to accompany him to the “Long Island” and “White Plains” office trips, lunches, and who knows what else he offered behind the closed doors? Why would anyone say something? DIGNITY MAYBE or that doesn’t exist any longer? This is a law firm for god sake! Lawyers are sworn in to my knowledge or it doesn’t matter after you walk out with you bar? Regardless, hope this finds its way to legitimacy.

Actually this is a common practice when someone can’t meet Credit card bill payments – not sure about home loans and mortgages. Basically you call the line and they tell you to stop paying your bills. After a few months and a few collection calls – the credit card company wants to negotiate “something” with you – to at least get some money back. But, if you are making your payments – even just minimum they don’t really want to hear about lowering your balance. They only want to talk about it, after you’ve become a problem.
@yourMother Its not that he cant meet the CC bills. He racks up the bills, does not pay them, then settles them for a portion of the debt.
This is why I never deal with any lawyers in the 5 boroughs of NYC. Let some place like this do some work for you then they get pinched for all the fraud and everyone goes down with them without any knowledge of all the crap they have done to your files as well.

Completely disagree with the previous review. Helpful? Sure they are. Helpful enough to guarantee miracles. The formulas have been figured out and perfected. The process is simple. They charge half upfront to start the scheme and half after they are done. Then they look over your income, copy it to later photoshop the numbers. They know how much you need in to make to “qualify” for the modification. They will forge current pay-stubs (inflate or deflate), tell you to withdraw money and redeposit it to make it look like additional income and if thats not enough, then they advise you to have one of your family members “contribute”; their income if needed. I heard of them from a few people and am not going to be apart of a illegal typical Russian operation. Its all a matter of time before they will be on the FBI radar and brace yourselves to be audited once they get caught.
