I myself went thru a abusive marriage for years and I have a child as well. Not only was my husband abusive, his whole family especially his mother was the worst. Its hard to just get up and walk away for some woman unfortunately some do end up loosing their lives. Far too many cases and no one ever does anything about it which only allows these ”abusers” to continue to hurt more innocent women. They lie and deny make the ”wife” sound if she was the ”crazy” one and she ruined the marriage when in reality it was the husband and his family who continue to hide under the impression ”what happens behind closed doors is unknown.” Substance abuse and infildelty is on the rise which in many east indian families is hidden and expected to be allowed if the ”husband” is taken that path.
