THE DIRTY ARMY: Nik, its crazy how no media is really covering what the hell happened last night after the Giants won. I live here in the city and it was complete chaos. It is one thing I will never understand about sports. You win a championship and you thank your city by f*cking it up and costing us tax payers money? Doesn’t make any sense.

This idiot from Folsom, of all places, seems not to realize that most of the damage in San Francisco last night was done from people OUTSIDE of the city – such as Folsom and other crap holes in Northern California/SF Bay Area. There were no issues in my neighborhood, near my house. I went to all the playoff games, including the World Series this year and 2010, have season tickets, and as an SF native – this above post is BS. Yes, there were issues, but, again, caused by idiots that don’t live in SF and probably don’t even care about the Giants. Get a clue poster!!!

I agree 100%. We didn’t run into any problems in my area and enjoyed the celebration like SF people. Oysters and drinks at Mayes, cigars for the occasion, back to the apartment to enjoy my spectacular city/water view. Opened a bottle, brought out the appropriate cheese to complement the wine, enjoyed the city how it’s meant to be enjoyed.
It just looks like all of SF’s wait-staff, cleaning crews, and landscapers got off work early celebrating Día de los Muertos?

First of all people – the poster wasn’t in SF. Second of all – one of our friends who is an extremely hard worker couldn’t get a cab home because of all the craziness. She then had to walk home where she was assaulted and ended up with a broken jaw, a concussion and ligature marks around her neck. Luckily, she escaped with her life and did not get raped. So don’t go around calling people trash.
I think they were just trying to make light of an issue that the media is keeping in the dark.

I live in the city (Russian hill), and didn’t hear anything about this mess. When problems like this are brought to our beautiful city by ghetto, ignorant, assholes from areas of the eastbay (which is a complete shit-hole imo, ALL OF IT). Losers from places like Stockton, Fremont, Vallejo, come swarming into SF on weekends, or during big events to bust a nutt and leave. They have no respect for San Francisco and the locals hate them. Saturday night, my girl and I were trying to catch a cab in North Beach for over an hour. Finally, we hailed one, but as soon as we ran up, 3 stupid bitches (probably from Marin), rushed our cab and pushed us outta the way. They hopped in and tried closing the door on us, so my girl lost it and went off. Next thing, she grabbed the girl by her head and started pulling her out of the door window. I noticed 1 of the girls booked immediately, the other girl ran to the opposite side, got in and locked the door. I pointed at the other girl and said, “get the fck out now before I walk over and pull you out myself.” We pulled the 1st girl out and threw her on the ground, then I got in the cab and grabbed the other girl. Suddenly the driver loses it and yells, ” everyone get the FCK OUT!” The girls were crying (haha), and took off running. Something like this would never happen among SF locals. But people like that really bring out the worst in SF residents. I never get into situations like that, or resort to violence, however, I’m glad it happened. It was completely appropriate for the moment.
