Couples Therapy Episode 3 Sneak Peek: Shayne Breaks Down
VH1 Blog: After spending days away from her daughter, Shayne realizes that she would rather spend her time caring for her child than go through the painful and frustrating process of rebuilding her broken relationship with Nik. Dr. Jenn, however, thinks otherwise and tries to convince her to give therapy another shot, and she also suspects that Shayne is using her daughter as an excuse to abandon Couples Therapy and Nik all together. If so, then it might be too late to salvage what was once a beautiful union. Couples Therapy airs Wednesday night at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

In Shayne’s defense I don’t think I could have left my daughter to go through therapy and not see her. Made me cry watching Shayne cry to see her baby : ( Sometimes your desire to be a mom outweighs your desire to have a marriage.
I don’t think Dr. Jenn quite got it, I don’t think her crying to see Press was her pushing Nik away.

a man that only shows weakness while trying to save his family, career, and love is the epitome of a mature masculine man. dont be a two dimensional brain dead cunt of a retard and misinterpret tears as being “soft”. this whole tough guys act most men portray is nothing more than a mere facade. most men dont like nick because theyre beta and feel inferior to an alpha like nick. nick is no where near perfect as he is struggling with family/marriage issues just like most of us. the difference is that he is ambitious, blatant, and innovative with his decisions and outlook on life. i dont always agree with nick but it is undeniable that he is a man of integrity, which is different from morality. he dosent sugar coat anything regardless of the outcome. the more i watch the show, the more i realize that nick indeed has a BIG heart

Hey Nik, keep your head up brother. My wife left for another man not too long ago and it was the best thing that could have happened to me and my young daughters. I now have my girls full time but I have peace of mind after 9 years of ups and major downs. Being a dad is now my only focus. My girls need love & stability and that’s all that matters and I will make sure they have that from me everyday.

Every waking moment of my life I fear that Nik. It’s the same old song and dance. She was amazing the first few years and then something snapped. She blamed it on some father issues she had and became depressed which lead to pills and then moving backwards in life to now reliving her teenage years of BS. Now she’s wrapped up with some guy 2400 miles away and pretending in some life that will one day bite her in the ass. With her being so far and the girls not being a witness to their mothers down falls, I am hoping they don’t become like her.
Not to say that I was the perfect husband because I wasn’t. I had faults of course but as being a dad, I try to be the best I can for my girls. I live by these rules with them. Love em, protect them, give rules and be honest with them. Let then know that life is too short to be wasting it away with BS. Give them enough room to make mistakes but don’t give them enough rope to hang themselves.Be there when they ask and be there when they don’t.
Hope to see your story succeed. I think Shayne and you need to just be accepting that both of you have faults. The bottom line? Over coming them and have each others back no matter what.

Don’t sweat it NIk. The best thing that ever happened to me was my fcked up mother walking out on us. I became the mother to my younger siblings and didn’t turn out like her….It sucks not having a mom. It sometimes kills me not to have a mom but if i had one today. I would be as fcked up as she is. Im not saying Shayne is fcked up I’m just saying that sometimes its best…..
On another note. I have a six year old from my first marriage and wish everyday i would have tried harder to work it out. Im happily married now. But i have a lot of guilt that my son does not get his parents together. I wish i would have done EVERYTHING i could have.

Doug has truly sacrificed *everything* to be with Courtney….Courtney however can not be blamed, she is immature,trashy,uneducated,unworldly….but she was only 16 when she was married…A teenagers brain is not fully formed at that age. She doesn’t have the cognitive brain skills to see consequences yet…(about 20 before this happens).
When i was a rebellious teenage girl I would have moved to hollywood to marry a semi famous actor in a second. The whole relationship makes me cringe…Doug will absolutely suffer for this.
Nik you have a lot of charisma, charm and you speak your truth without apology. I like you. Shayne has been raised by a dysfunctional family who feels they are entitled to a privileged hollywood glam life. She isn’t a bad person, but i don’t think she loves you the way you deserve to be loved. (I think she has a lot of issues before she is ready to be a wife in all honesty)
