THE DIRTY ARMY: Nik, this Sandy Hurricane has messed the east coast up. Over 20 people dead so far, countless people can’t even live in their place due to the floods. Over 20,000 flights have been cancelled since yesterday and more are going to be coming. Its crazy how hard it hit the people over there. But the good news is that FEMA is actually coming out to help, luckily we have a great president who is here to help the people, not like Bush did back in the Katrina Hurricane and left people to die and figure it out themselves.
Not to be a party pooper, but I haven’t seen any pictures or anything on TV that make Hurricane Sandy look tough. She sounds like a little bit of extra rain.- nik

Read a book and educate yourself for a change, Kanye. In order for federal resources to be called in, the Governor of the effected state must ask for the assistance. Bush requested permission 3 times to send in federal assistance and was denied on all occasions by Gov. Kathleen Blanco. Obama has done nothing with this disaster. If you want to thank someone, thank the Governor’s of the states that were hit. They took the necessary preparations and asked for the necessary assistance. Nice post. Enroll is some higher education.

The Jersey shores seem to be hit hardest hit- a whole a boardwalk pier of rides is in the ocean and towns will not let people back in for 7-10 days because all of the roads have been destroyed. While yes, some of us lucked out, others weren’t so lucky.

There was more that just a bit of extra rain here. The front of building was torn off, homes were destroyed by fallen trees that were torn by the wind gusts, flooding was massive and there were mini transformer explosions throughout. It rains quite a bit in New York City, there rarely a week that passes without ANY rain – it is like a swamp. If this was just “a little bit of extra rain” the subways would not be flooded, schools would not be closed for several days and battery park in NYC would not be battery “water” park.
I can only imagine how bad it is on the coast. I’m in Ohio and we are getting hit pretty hard. Trees were knocked down all over, flooding, and power outages. My neighbor’s fence was ripped right out of the ground.
