This year for Halloween they decided to dress Angela’s son up to be a pro gay marriage banner. The kid is like 4. I cannot believe the b*tches are trying to use this child to push their views. She posted this picture on her Facebook.

Well the 4 year old has two mommys. He is at an age where it’s noticable that most people have a mommy and a daddy. So the “some women love men, some women love women” talk must have come up. Maybe he’s seen the NOH8 photos and asked what it meant. I really don’t see a child encouraging not hating (gay/straight/black/white/etc) being a bad thing?

For real, since when is teaching your child to be accepting of all humans regardless of sexual orientation a bad thing? Sort of along the same thread as teaching your child not to be a racist or religiously biased.
Marriage and sex art two different things. You can discuss the fact that he has two mommys and what that means without ever coming close to delving in to sexual matters. When straight parents discuss what marriage is with their children they are never accused of “sexualizing” the subject. What an ignorant commeng to make!
I actually have never seen a straight couple writing all over their kid’s face and taping the kid’s mouth shut for attention before. But maybe that’s just me.

Yeah OP, I’m sure they had to discuss scissoring and rug munching with the 4 year to get him to agree to this, because he is probably a critical thinker who always questions authority and carefully considers such decisions.

I am a nanny of a 6 and 7 year old. They live in West Hollywood, where as many know homosexuality comes up a lot. Even when the kids were 4 and 5 they would have questions about what being gay was, and questions about why some of their friends have two mommies or two daddies. We had to explain to them what it means (in kid terms) and these two kids are a couple of the most accepting children I know.
Nik, I know your daughter is only a baby right now, but just wait until she starts asking a million questions a minute. You will find yourself explaining complicated subjects to her at a young age. The best thing you can do for your child is answer them as honestly and appropriately as you can for their age.

Of COURSE you can discuss the issue of marriage with a child without sexualizing the subject. Do you think straight couples shouldn’t explain marriage to their kids? I say hooray for them for teaching their child to be accepting. And yay for them for working to provide a future for their child where he can love who he wants and not be ridiculed or condemned for it. And hooray for them for teaching him to stand up for what’s right, and the rights of others. I don’t know you, but if I had to guess, I’d bet they’re doing a far better job raising a kid than you are. And by the way, shame on you for posting a picture of a minor without permission for the sole purpose of ridiculing that child and his family.
