Agreed! Look how different Courtney acts when all the attention is not on her, and Shayne is instead the center of attention. Shayne is SO much more beautiful when she is confident and happy, as she seems here! You can tell that Courtney is sitting there on the couch uncomfortable that she is not the center of attention, and all eyes are not on her.
I am not sure about the wedding and it’s authenticity. After all it is a reality show and we all know how real these things usually are. That being said, I did notice how uncomfortable the whole scene made Courtney. It seemed to me, whether it was real or not, that Courtney had a realization as she sat in the chair that was she and Doug share isn’t true love between two adults and that her marriage to him is a lie. It looked as if she was witnessing something that she recognized as a couple in love and at the same time realizing it isn’t that way between her and Doug. I felt bad for her, and think she felt at that moment awkward sitting next to him and knowing that no matter how badly she wants it, it just isn’t so. I think she is opportunistic and believed being married to someone in Hollywood would open doors for her. I think she is starting to realize she is in over her head, and is struggling with how to get out of the marriage. She looked miserable. And no Nik, I don’t think she was jealous and wishing she was your wife. It looked to me as though she was struggling with her own reality, sad as it may be.

Never watched Couples Therapy before- only watched to see you and Shayne ( she was my favorite on The Bachelor) and you did not disappoint. I would say that I hope you two get your own reality show, but I’m not sure if a long term fishbowl existence is healthy for any relationship.
The important things in life are worth the effort required of us. There is a difference between true love and infatuation, and true love requires work. People are delusional when they think that they haven’t found their true love based on the fact that the relationship has rough patches. In the early stage of infatuation, while we’re deep in our physical attraction and longing, it’s easy to love one another. The real test is when you’ve been with the person long enough to have heard all of their stories and jokes, and you know each other’s vulnerabilities and how to hurt one another. You have to deal with the business of life which includes taking care of your child, bills, work pressures, home, and each other. But it’s worth it to build that shared history with your husband/wife. The joy is being able to share your life’s experiences with someone who has come along with you on the journey, and knows of the struggles and heartaches, as well as the triumphs that are inevitable in life.
You and Shayne are intelligent and intuitive – you both have the power to create a loving home for your daughter. Best of luck to you.
