Oh, in our society, it’s easy. We teach kids from a very young age that sex is strictly recreational and children are something you can always get rid of through abortion or adoption. Teens forget that there’s the reproducing equation to sex and they don’t quite understand that babies are not toys that you can all of the sudden say “nevermind” to.
So you just end up with a whole bunch of idiots who don’t know that there’s no way to 100% prevent a pregnancy (unless you consider abstinence) and who view kids as a form of nuisance rather than human beings who need love and care.

I also am the the child of a mother who left me at the age of two years old. It was difficult to deal with growing up, however I am 25 now. I have come to the conclusion that my life was much better without her. She went on to live a fast life of drinking, drugs and a different man to fit her mood. Needless to say, she died last November from a heart attack. It is still hard to deal with never knowing the woman who brought me into this world, but I now have a wonderful husband who loves me and brings meaning to an otherwise meaningless world.
