The ring is fake. Real diamonds refractions include the entire color spectrum. Courtney’s ring does not. My guess is it is a white Topaz.

Fake ring, you can see down to the bottom, clear as day. The facets are not reflecting light or creating a prison look. The overall color, light and texture is way of.. It is a synthetic diamond.

Courtney’s situation reminds me of my own, by 16 i was attracting too much attention. This felt so scary to me as to be hit on or constantly stared at by young men, old men, scary looking men is in no way fun or flattering. (men are basically opportunistic pigs,some super nice but most ick.)
When I started dating my mother was very controlling and unforgiving of guys my own age i was interested in. When a good looking, well spoken 26 year old charmer wanted to date me, imagine my shock when my strict mom tripped over herself trying to please him… Her words were so similar to Courtney’s mom as they said same thing, they would much rather me with someone who could ‘take care’ of me then reckless, un wise boys my own age… To this day i resent my mom for stealing away my teenage years just so she could feel better about me being ‘kept’ by a controlling guy rathe then out having fun and making my own mistakes…

You can buy rings like that at any womans clothing store for about $20. You can tell it’s fake and there is no way in hell Doug could afford a rock that big, it would cost more than he’s worth.
I worked on Couple’s when you and S were in the house. This doesn’t look like Courtney to me. Yea, she’s thin and has Courtney-like boobs and apparel, but her mouth/face has different features. I was surprised by the size of her ring on the show I must say.
