I love this.. This truly shows how people in Medicine Hat are very prone to idle gossip.. Yes I hire beautiful women for my bar but what moron hires ugly waitresses seriously? I’m young yes.. So naturally I see where the rumors start.. I do however have to question one thing.. I wake up at 1pm and head out to my bar in Suffield were I work till 7:30 then I head back to town get here at 8 and start work at the Cecil at 8:30 till 4pm when I go to bed to start it all over the next day? How exactly am I having so much sex with all these women when I can barely find time to have sex with my woman? Seriously and even if somehow I could find time.. where the heck do I get all this energy?? Helll I must be superman:) but really I have learned that whenever your climbing a ladder people try to drag u off of it.. The only reason why he makes money on this bar is the outrageous prices on his filth littered “rooms”. If a building inspector ever looked at the condition, it would be condemned. Seriously, if your gf works at this place I’d watch it, it touches all of his waitresses and slaps their asses. They don’t want to say it because it’s embarrassing, just look at the guy. 90% of the rooms upstairs have been renovated and all are priced so that people going threw a rough patch in life can get back on there feet.. I have kicked out all dealers and doers of any illegal substance and am constantly working to ensure it is a great place to drink and or stay.. Except we are currently full.. I have been going to the Cecil for 30 years.. I’ve seen owners come and go.. The reality is when Dawson bought the bar it was in receivership and the bank was gonna shut it down.. I’d go for a draft on a Friday night and there would be 3 people in there.. Now that Dawson’s had it for over a year. It’s always busy! My friends all socialize there. It’s not the ritz but it never will be.. It’s the Cecil.. A working mans bar. But since he has bought it there is good looking friendly staff. Cheap drinks. And good luck finding a seat on a Friday Saturday. I enjoy the Cecil now more then I have in 15 years keep your head up Dawson and keep doing what your doing! Anyone with a brain can see your just what the Cecil needed

I’ve been down to the Cecil, it is a good bar. A lot of us to not want to go out and try to be hit on while we are drinking. Me, I am 20 years old, I have an honest hard working job- and yes the Cecil is where I would recommend you go if you just want to have a few drinks and relax. Also, the kareoke is a good time. Just throwing that one out there.
As for Dawson, I may have only seen him or talked to him at the bar once or twice because my ex and his friends always drank there, but he is more responsible with controlling situations in this bar then any other bar. Also, his second bar out at Suffield? It’s going to be good because a lot of soldiers need a place to drink and let their hair down that isn’t on the base in the messes. It was a good idea in my eyes, and well if I was posted out to CFB Suffield, I would for surely hit up that bar.
As for comments trying to tear him down- that’s bullshit. I couldn’t imagine being as busy as he is and still staying sane and finding time to have a significant other.
Maybe a few of you should look at his reactions, positive attitude and trying to make the best out of a bad situation and learn from it. In my eyes – that is more mature then all of you tearing him down.

Secondly royal Veterin I must say your comment made me smile .. The plywood was fixed shortly after the booths were installed. the roof took a little longer but also is now complete.. the office floor has been completely gutted and redone and more seats added.. (as we simply cannot fit anymore people on a friday saturday) the cecil may have had a reputAtion as a skunmy bar but i have spent over $150,000 renovating to improove the quality and experience for my customers tenants and friends.. now you tell me.. when was the last time the royal owner did that? I ask again please post your name with your comments as I would like to address everyone’s concerns. It’s a foolish man who doesn’t listen to people’s concerns and not act.. Even the little details like not having enough light for butch during the day have been addressed and now there’s is track lighting above his 3 favorite tables
