THE DIRTY ARMY: Nik, I’m so disappointed in my friends and all their behaviors lately. Many of them are out of college and starting to make some real money and just spending it on want to be PP’s. yeah, i don’t blame you, nik. i especially hate people from inland OC, i.e.. Santa Margarita/Mission Viejo that have convinced themselves they’re Newport/Laguna locals. That pretend they’re from a beach town, even though they don’t even know how to swim (let alone surf). They go there for the occasional weekend dinner or to shop at Fashion Island,and have convincesd themselves that those monthly trips make them a real “local”.
They may even end up renting some overpriced walk-up sh*thole for 9 months, and all of a sudden they’re telling everyone they’re “lifelong residents of the Peninsula”.
