The reason some people may consider “blackface” racist is because of its origins, when white actors painted their faces black to portray black characters in order to avoid employing black actors. So its not exactly the same to compare black folks in “whiteface”. For the record, I agree that people getting their dicks in a knot over “blackface” costumes is hyper-sensitive.
