THE DIRTY ARMY: Nik, I was watching the news and could not believe what I saw. There are these girls that got mad that their server wrote fat girls on their receipt. When they got it, they went furious and made a big deal about it. Personally I don’t get it, I’m a very hot girl with big boobs, so its common to see “hot girl”, “pretty one” or “sexy one” on a receipt… and I totally get it because I’m hot. Now how come 3 fat girls get offended for being called fat? I mean it their fault they are too lazy to work out and come up with excuse after excuse why they don’t work out or eat like pigs. Lame.

being obese is not a choice, obviously if it was as simple as that, obesity would be rare, these people suffer alot, emotionally as well as physically and if it was so simple to just stop eating they would. At the end of the day if you want to play the blame game its genetics. if one of your parents are overweight you have a 50% chance to be overweight, and if both are overweight, 80%. Once someones fat cells expand, they lose alot of control, the fat becomes stubborn and the moment they lose one pound their body goes into survival mode and releases triple the hunger+ fatigue hormone, hence why people tend to gain weight back so quickly.

Ya those are factors that can cause someone to be overweight but they are rare cases and these days everyone who is overweight uses one of those excuses to cover up the fact that they’re just plain lazy. These same conditions existed decades ago but you didnt see nearly as many overweight people then as you do now, it’s pure laziness. I am a fat girl who used to be a skinny girl until I was diagnosed with a heart condition. My medication caused a significant weight gain, but it keeps me alive. How about knowing all of the facts before making assumptions about laziness?
You obviously didn’t read my comment clearly. I said that medical and genetic conditions that cause someone to be overweighy do exist but they are very few and far between. It seems like these days everyone with a weight problem claims its due to a medical issue or their genetics….genetics get passed down through generations so why weren’t there as many overweight and obese people long ago the way that there is now? It’s because now people are lazier, they’d rather eat out than cook and sit in front of the tv than get exercise. Even with certain medications you can keep the weight off with a good diet and exercise there really are no excuses
Due to my freakishly fast metabolism and genetics, I’m very thin and small. No one has ever had a problem pointing this out to me on a regular basis. “Do you eat? Are you sick? Here, have a second, third and fourth helping of that food there, slim”….. There were people (always female) that would just straight up not like me without even knowing me. It used to be annoying, and now idgaf…haters gonna hate, I guess.

I have the exact same problem. I’ve always been super skinny and no one ever has a problem calling me names or making rude comments. Some people make comments not even realizing they’re offending me because for some reason it’s ok to insult a skinny person but it’s taboo to do the same to someone thats obviously overweight.

It’s rude whether your skinny and hot or overweight. Servers shouldn’t leave comments on the bill and customers shouldn’t skip out on the tip (not saying those girls did). It’s called treating people how you want to be treated.
When I worked in resturants in the past lots of people did this. You would write “bald guy” or “old couple” or whatever described the people at the table to keep the food straight. However the guests never saw this. I am guessing the server did this by mistake and had no intent in the girls ever seeing the comment, just making sure they got the correct food.

I work in a fine dining restaurant, and in the dining room (where I work) we do not name our guests because they are seated and have tables/seat numbers. However, in the bar area of my restaurant or ANY bar, the cocktail servers and/or bartenders name the guests by name or description because people get up and walk around in bars…
Have you never even gone out to drink? Your tab is going to have either your name because you used a credit card and kept an open-tab, or a description so that they can make sure close your tab before you leave.

It was just a cold hearted thing, that was done to directly hurt those girls. Its the establishments name onbthe top of that ticket, and the stablishments name on this bitches paycheck. The bottom line is that a restaurant is a service orientated business. The restaurant should have comped their meals once they noticed that the server had insulted them.. Whether or not you agree that they are “fat” and should be called that. As other posters have pointed out they did not go out to eat anticipating being called names by an establishment that they are handing over their $ to. The loss in repeat business and the negative press it will get is not going to be worth the $25 charge in the end. The situation cold have been diffused by a manager who is there to give customer service. They have a right to be mad. Just like the other receipt for another restaurant where they had referred to the woman as “Lady chinky eyes”, those things have a tendency to mess up ones day. Its offensive. Not at all like being called “hot”, whether you are or not.
