The show is quite salacious and although not entirely representative of the U.S. Iranian community as a whole, it represents the cross section of the self appointed and the pitiful entitled spoilt-rotten bratty generation (mostly 1st generation Iranians who were born in the U.S after the 1979 revolution)
Many Iranians are up in arms that this is the Iranian Jersey Shore, I.e, demeaning and not an accurate representation of many Iranians who have achieved very high and noble social status in the U.S. without any of these ostentatious shenanigans. There are many Iranians assimilated in the world of science and commerce as the captains of their industries.
While the above sentiment may very well be true, there are two things to point out in here:
1- This is a “reality based” show which is at times scripted and people are “paid” with alcohol, parties, events, vacations, etc for the purpose of behaving less than their normal selves!
2- These “kids” are representative of most your KIDS, the snub Iranians who live in diaspora! Get effing used to it!
P.S. the show has over 2.5 Mil viewers, so if the self loathing Iranians are not watching it while seething with anger/disgust, then who is? Hmmm?!

I actually think she’s very pretty, granted these aren’t the most flattering pictures but she’s definitely not ugly. She has a nice face and if she lost weight she would look amazing.
Leave MJ alone! She is one of the most amazing women I know, and also happens to have struggled with her weight all her life. MJ is the most down-to-Earth, real, and intelligent woman that I’ve seen on “reality” TV, and though she likes to party, the girl works her ass off for what she has instead of depending on old men like the tramps in LA. She has no problem getting great guys either, you should see who she has turned down because she never wants to get married. These are very unflattering photos of MJ, and she’s far more attractive in person. I have yet to see a woman in her mid-30′s with hair and skin like MJ’s, she’s aging better than the cake-faced plastic girls like that disgusting twig who just joined the show.
Lilly is HOT, smart & funny. That’s why MJ Oinker has it out for her.

Her features are BEAUTIFUL! Even in these unflattering photos, you can tell that her facial features are just gorgeous. Her hair looks like black silk. She is exotic, and just downright gorgeous.

I’ve never seen her show, I’m not much for ‘reality’ TV, but she sounds like a nice person.
Sometimes people struggle with weight. It goes up and down. I moved to the Pacific Northwest, and gained 20 lbs. because I was so used to fresh, healthy, Cali food. I absolutely HATE the way I look now, but I’m working hard to take it off. I’m not as big as her, I’m not even overweight technically, just over where I like to be.
I would be HORRIFIED if I saw all these nasty comments about myself on here.
She’s most likely painfully aware that she’s overweight, and maybe she didn’t have her size swim suit available, and had to borrow one? You guys don’t know anything about the situation, and really, should not be so critical. I struggled with an eating disorder all my life, and my daughter does too. Comments like these can really damage someone. I realize this is the dirty, but seriously. Come on guys. It’s a serious issue, and people who struggle with their weight are very susceptible to developing eating disorders.
Don’t make an already bad situation worse by fueling an internal emotional fire. It’s just a Dick thing to do, and your karma will kick YOU in the ass later.
