Often times pageant girls from Texas will move to other states because there is less competition in smaller states. They have a better shot at getting a title and therefore have a chance at a bigger pageant like Miss USA.
I am not sure if that is what this young lady has done but I have known pageant girls in the past that have done this.
Same reason why the Clintons were from Arkansas but got an apartment in New York to be Senator. It’s all bull$hit.
