THE DIRTY ARMY: Nik, please help bring attention to this story a young US Marine is in jail in Mexico and no one in the US is covering it or doing anything about it we have to help bring attention to this and help save him. Please help save a young Marine from Miami who is chained in a jail in Mexico please email both Florida senators, Bill Nelson and Marco Rubio. Both of their offices have been informed of the situation. If you are not from Florida I would really appreciate it if you will all contact your senators in your home states as well and ask for their help with Jonny. You should be able to do this on their websites. There is a simple email link on their websites. In terms of the subject I would select veteran affairs. In the email reference the imprisonment of Jon Michael Hammar in Matamoros Mexico. A simple request for help in securing his quick release and protection of his human rights. Horrible corruption and gangs choking a beautiful land along with people who just want to live the life they were given.
He was bringing a small hunting gun with him to go hunting in Costa Rica. He asked US Customs about how he could legally bring the gun with him. He was told to declare it when he crossed the border and to fill out the paperwork. He did, and was arrested immediately upon crossing. His parents immediately began receiving threats and requests for large sums of money in order for him to be released. The prison he is in is run by a CARTEL. His parents are being extorted by a DRUG CARTEL. This is absolutely a violation of his human rights. This is a serious matter. This is NOT a case where someone was engaging in an illegal activity.

first of all stop the hate in the comments, I have traveled extensively and usually it is no problem bringing questionalble items into a country if you declare it first! worst case scenario the Mexican authorities should have said “leave it in the US”. For all that US taxpayers give to millions of illegals, they owe us at least proper due process. EVERYBODY SIGN THE PETITION, STOP MEXICAN EXTORTION.

If I am to understand this correctly. He was told information by an American. .He crossed over fill paperwork out. Then he was arrested. He is a Marine, did he fill it out correctly . You know how the Marine are kind of retarded.
