THE DIRTY ARMY: Nik I’m so sick of everyone talking about Ray Lewis and what a great person he is and what a career he has had. Did all you people forget this guy was on trial for MURDER? And he has 6 children with 4 different women, to me… that is not a great person at all. And now all this stuff coming out about him using PED’s is no surprise to me. He was never convicted of anything. He was at a nightclub when someone was shot, a witness noticed his limo leaving the scene. Maybe one of Ray’s friends/bodyguards was involved, maybe not. The fact is he was not convicted, he has changed his life around since then, has financially helped the family of the victim, has become a great father, religious leader, and leader of his team. everyone in life makes mistakes, i think its time the world learns to forgive mistakes instead of trying to bring people down. There are worse people to pick on, like Obama, or Eric Holder teh head of teh Justice departmetn who was responsible for letting automatic weapons in the hands of Mexican cartels which eventually killed a US border patrol agent.

Thats not what happened. Two people were stabbed and left to die. The suit he wore that night has never been found. There was blood in his limo and he purchased knives shortly before the murder. what is often overlooked in this story is the guy who was killed was the instigator and went looking for a fight. No one should be murdered – don’t get me wrong – but picking a fight with a entourage full of thugs will probably get you pretty messed up if not dead 9 times out of 10. The guy didn’t deserve to die – but was he was no angel either. Let me be even clearer – he was not some completely innocent bystander, witnesses tell of this guy GOADING them into fighting. Don’t be surprised when knocking on the devil’s door if he answers….

Ray Lewis WAS CONVICTED of OBSTRUCTION. HE WAS CHARGED WITH MURDER, and the charges were LATER dropped. He DOES have 6 kids with 4 DIFFERENT WOMEN. Obviously he’s on tons of PEDS look at him. He came back from his injury faster than anyone ever has at an old age, how is his body healing faster than any 21-24 year old in his late 30s? I guess it’s much easier to judge someone for one mistake than respect all the positive things. He could have easily been a statistic.
My opinion: A doctor friend of mine explained the tricep tear he sustained is commonly caused by steroid use. He also explained that it is near impossible to tear your tricep in the way that Ray Lewis did without being on steroids. This was a steroid induced injury and he recovered using steroids. But good for him, he will deny it until he retires and is done with his career. Then he will come out and talk about how he used steroids and will write a book. Just watch people.

- he was indicted on murder charges based on accessory laws in the state of georgia
- the murder charge was dropped in exchange for a guilty obstruction of justice plea and his testimony for the prosecution
- the jury concluded that two men in lewis’ entourage were responsible for the deaths but that it was in self defense as one of the deceased had instigated the melee by striking a member of lewis’ entourage in the head with a champagne bottle
- lewis is no saint but the manner in which the media got this thing way wrong probably put him on the path to playing the media game/religious angle. i suspect he doesn’t talk about it to this day because the media continues to misrepresent the incident to the general public.

No…he was never on trial for murder. In fact, there wasn’t a murder. There was a fight in which Ray Lewis was not a party. Two guys were tried for murder and Ray Lewis testified for the prosecution. Lewis had pleaded guilty to obstruction for not cooperating with the police at the time. The two guys were aquitted based on their self-defense claims. Hence, no murder and the police dropped it. There was a civil case filed by the families of the guys killed. They filled against the one guy who had the MONEY who WAS NOT involved in the fight. Rather than fight the civil suit and get the bad publicity of a civil trial, Ray made that go away by settling. He had the money to do so and the family took it and ran. They would have lost otherwise.
