When i was younger and full of myself, and when things did not go my way I used to cut my wrists not deep but to make surface wounds with blood take pics send them say im gonna kill myself. then of course one of my boy toys would show up telling me how amazing beautiful smart funny i am. One day i cut myself and sent the pics. the guy was sick of my games and ignored me. So i swallowed a whole bottle of antihistamines. threw up multiple times. starting hallucinating. It really sucked tbh. OF course i took pics of the bottle and sent them to him saying im gonna overdose. Well he still ignored me. Yeah i felt like sheet.I did crazy things like this all the time it was a call for help and attention. My life was out of control. Let’s just say 5years later in my mid 20′s I have grown up a lot. So yeah, ppl do hurt themselves for attention. I am a living testimony 4 it.

I was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder in 2006 and was told by some that I would never be cured. I’d like to say to those people, suck it. It’s been three years since I have had an episode. Even with recently ending a relationship with a controlling ex. To the people who encouraged me, I can never thank them enough. There is help.

I had a friend that died this time last year. Everyone thinks it was an od but I think it was suicide. He sold medical supplies. So one evening in his office turned up the nitrous oxide was the mask on passed out and the rest is history. Things came out after his death about stuff he was going through that were troubling. He kept it all a secret. Long story short if a person is doing shit like this for attention they need serious mental health help. It is not laughing matter. This is someones daughter, mother, friend, and they deserve resect and help. I hope that things turn around for the girl in the OP.

Every 14 minutes someone in the US dies of suicide. For all those idiots on here who think it’s a sign of weakness or who simply have no empathy whatsoever, get educated. Depression is a disease and like many other disease it debilitates and kills people. Add alcohol or drug abuse to the equation and it kills faster. Anybody with a rational mind understands that cutting ones throat, superficial or not, is not asking for attention but is in serious need of medical help. Depression can only be treated with medication, therapy, and a dedicated support system. I feel more sorry for those of you who lack any empathy or sympathy because your problem is more difficult to treat. It’s a sign of ignorance and perhaps the leading cause of the world’s problems.

I wouldn’t say she needed an audience. Biggest mistake people make is assuming that someone who threatens suicide is only looking for attention. Look at the facts. People in her condition don’t have the means or ability like most people to stop the thoughts. They’re unable to think rationally.They go into a very deep spiral that worsens. Their thought process becomes like a CD skipping. It’s a very dark reality for them with no way out. A suicide attempt could go either way…she survives and gets help or she ends up dead. We don’t know her condition right now. She may be alive or she may be dead. She may be in critical condition and dies tomorrow. People who are depressed don’t have the coping mechanisms that most people have. Things get magnified. Little problems become impossible. It has a crippling effect on ones life and can kill them.
No, we wouldn’t be losing a future world leader. But future world leaders, businessmen, bankers, famous athletes, celebrities, famous musicians are her clients. You could actually argue that they create the problem. All the BS about being “successful” and money, and the American dream, capitalism created this. All the dickheads you idolize are this girls clients. Supply and demand. Drugs. Prostitution. Porn. Casinos. Adultery. Human-trafficking. All of it takes its toll on American families and real human lives. Name call all you want but in the end this is a societal problem that includes you and me and everybody. She’s the victim.
The anon who said she is the victim I see where u are coming from, but to a limit. I was in a similar situation to courtney. At one time in my life I had no family friends no positive network. I was living on my sugar daddys, fast cars, and what i thought was the good life. I was 19 and riding in lambos i thought wow I am important. I had no self worth except for my looks. The fake lifestyle had its toll on me and many bad things happened-im trying to give the fast version here. I could play the victim but i chose not to. I decided to go back to school, cut loose all the negative influences and never have looked back. i chose to NOT be the victim. It was hard. Sometimes i miss shopping all day not doing anything. Now i have student loans and spend my days studying. It was a hard choice but i do not regret it. She has a choice but it’s easier to play the victim.

This is sad. Whether or not this is just a display of dramatics, or if it’s dramatics heading toward suicide, it’s still sad.
I’ve had suicide touch my life a few times and each time was DIFFERENT. I lost a friend one year ago, he talked rather openly about suicide fairly often. I mistakenly assumed that people who talk about it all the time would never actually do it. I was wrong.
Years ago, my cousin hung himself, and it was sudden, he never talked about it.
I guess the point is that you never really know.
There are people on this site that I swear having no soul. Yes posting this on a socil networking site may just look like attention but after what happened to Amanda Todd, I will never ignore something like this.

Where are her friends? Why have none of them intervened on her behalf and put her into a long term rehab program or gotten her a psychiatrist?? Just being there with her when she’s in one of these moods doesn’t help and taking her to the hospital is not enough. Once she’s released she should be taken straight to a rehab facility and stay there for a good 3 months. Where is her family? If she’s been acting like this for so long how come none of them have stepped forward to help? Or are they oblivious to her situation or just don’t care? Just looking through this girls social media you can tell how lost she is and how little self worth she has. It probably doesn’t help that most of her friends probably engage in the same life style as her and just enable her to continue the same cycle she’s in. I’m nowhere near close to this girl so I can’t help but if I was her friend I would do everything in my power to get her clean and get her therapy to deal with her issues. Her friends need to wake up an try something different because they obviously havent helped her.

This is a desperate cry for help. There is attention whore, and there is suicidal.. this is suicidal. I knew courtney years ago. I somehow always knew her life would end up being tragic, which makes this no surprise unfortunately. Because of things I know about her and how her life has been, I can’t help but think she is going to go all the way one of these days and actually end her life. She’s doing all of this publicly to see if anyone cares enough to stop her. I just hope she gets some help.
I think it’s sad that Nik had to be the one to intervene and call an ambulance. The fact that none of her friends stepped up to help her shows she has no real friends.
This is a good lesson people…so many of us focus on getting as many followers as we can on social media but when the shit hits the fan none of those people will be there for you so spend more time cultivating friendships in real life instead.

My aunt killed herself a year ago and it still haunts me to this day, yeah this girl went on twitter and broadcasted it but maybe she has no one else to go to.
