THE DIRTY ARMY: Nik, this is Constable Chris Mosher, one of the prime examples of what the HRMPD has to offer. An internal unit has been in place in our city less than a year to investigate police who commit crimes and already 6 cops have been arrested. This one in particular may be the worst. He was kicked out of training, but reinstated, charged with domestic assault, but got it dropped and now charged with sexual assault and drugging a girl. This is who we trust to protect us, we are all doomed.

My dad was a detective Sgt. and had to push for the arrest of one of his coworkers for dealing drugs at a high school and sleeping with the young girls there. It was hard for him due to the comradery of that profession. Since people respected my dad, they believed and respected his decision but I know of someone (cop) who was murdered for doing the right thing in a similar situation. It makes me sick when a few bad cops give all cops a bad rap. My dad was amazing and fair…and many in that profession are…but sadly, you only hear about the ones that aren’t.
As they say, one bad apple spoils the whole bunch. My best friend’s boyfriend is a deputy here, and he’s one of the good ones. He’s always dealing with people who are amazed at how fair and nice he is. It’s too bad that isn’t the norm.

Chris Mosher appears in court on April 25th for charges being pressed against him in regards to the woman that he drugged and sexually assaulted in early November. All the women he has raped/drugged/taken advantage of over the years should show up at the Dartmouth Provincial Court on this day where I believe his trial will be held.

Knew him when I was 16, he tried to force himself on me when he was drunk. Luckily he was drunk enough to punch and get away from. When I heard he was a cop I laughed and shuddered all at the same time. That said, there are some great cops in this city… just wish there were less of this variety. Hell, I wish this guy never existed.
I knew Chris in high school and university for a bit. Honestly, I always found him to be a really funny and nice guy. I’m an attractive girl and I’ve been drunk with him many, many times and he’s never tried to force himself on me or been inappropriate with me in the slightest. In fact, he was always the person I could trust to shoo away creepy guys downtown and to make sure I got home okay. He slept with basically all of my friends but none through coercion. From what I could see he had no problems at all finding women to gladly sleep with him, though they would always regret it later since he was flaky and normally had no romantic interest in them.
I don’t say any of this to doubt the story but I just don’t want some angry people he pissed off in high school and some unrelated photos to be the only picture painted of Chris since he certainly has the capacity to be a nice person. I think it’s possible he committed this crime but it’s also possible he didn’t and people shouldn’t be posting defaming remarks about him on a public forum just because they think he was a high school bully a decade ago.

Chris Mosher has another court date on April 25th for the charges laid against him in regards to the drugging and sexual assault he committed in early November. I think it would be great if all of the women that he has victimized over the years showed up to the trial. There is power in numbers and justice may be rightfully be served if this happens.
