I also used to know her as a friend. She’s originally from Kindersley and had good things going for herself. Hell I had wanted to date her at one point, truth be told…. but that all changed once she started hitting the schnay and crack.
It got so bad that she moved to Calgary to try and “clean up”… only to rip off a BF of her for $10k spent on crack and partying over a period of a month and only ended up in worse shape than she was in before she moved.
She moved back to Saskatoon in Aug or Sep 2012 and indeed has not changed. Tried sleeping with 2 of my friends for schnay too… Thank god they took my advice!
I’ve tried talking to her about the need to clean herself up and sobering up and that I was willing to help her but I guess crack rocks are more important than friendship.
Sad part, she couldn’t read between the lines as to why she couldn’t couch-surf at my place… as I honestly can’t trust her to not rob me to feed her addiction.

As the above clearly states, I used to be a friend of hers until she demonstrated to me her unwillingness to clean up and take the help that I’ve offered on close to a dozen occasions over a period of 2 years. One can only put themselves through so and so much until enough’s enough. And seeing that I liked her (a lot) and had strong feelings for her when we were great friends, it made it that much more painful inside to see her doing what she’s doing to herself. Truth be told, it still hurts inside.

I never mentioned such a thing, as the last time I saw/spoke with her in early fall 2012, she was not working as she was asking me to stay on my couch for a few days.
She was staying at a friend of mine’s place but was kicked out and written off by them 2 days earlier for stealing. My friend has security cameras (some hidden) in their place which busted her RED HANDED, and for which I saw firsthand right from their DVR box to my utter and disgusted dismay. And it wasn’t just stealing that she was caught doing either…
I straight-up asked her why she’d do such a thing and she kept denying it. I gave her one final chance to come clean and, if she did and was willing to abide by my terms (which included enrolling into a detox/rehab program wiith 72 hours) she could stay at my place… but she chose to still lie and deny to my face and told me that she didn’t have a problem.
The only reason I posted any of this to begin with is in hopes that she’d see it and, maybe – just maybe, it’ll bring her back down to reality and come to terms that she needs to do something sooner rather than later to save herself from going further down the spiral. Sometimes tough love needs to be used.
Hope you have actually – taken – the time to read this before you feel the need to satisfy your trigger-happy need to reply.
P.S. Stephanie, I hope work’s going well and that you’re trying to turn things around. I’m hoping this ‘public shaming’ has had an impact on you. I’d love to call you a friend again someday…
