THE DIRTY ARMY: Hey Nik, huge fan. I love how your website gives people everywhere a chance to expose the truth and let their voices be heard. Anyway, I read this article online about an 11 year old Bailey O’Neil who was savagely beaten into a coma and no criminal charges were filed against his attackers. In fact, the student who beat him up recieved a slap on the wrist…a 2 day suspension! Imagine if that were your child in a coma, not knowing when she would wake up, praying to God that she’ll make it…I can only imagine the torture that kid’s parents are going through. The school board has done nothing, they actually allowed these monster kids to come back to school after being suspended for 2 days. Even though they could have potentially killed this kid, who is still in a coma as I write this. Read the article, its truly heartbreaking. The school officials sound like complete idiots and are obviously incompetent if they think a 2 day suspension is an adequate punishment for a potentially fatal beating. They are saying nothing criminal has been found yet….WTF?? What does it take, this kid to die in order for something to be done about it? and they are working with police to determine if “bullying is a problem” at the school…an 11 year old is in a coma, I would say it is a problem!
The police look like the idiots here more than the school. I will pray for Bailey and his family.- nik

Where does all this anger from our youth stem from? I think looking into a child’s home life is a start but it is just so tragic that this happened. Why do kids pick on other kids so much and so badly? Respect needs to be taught

I too will pray for this beautiful little boy to wake up and recover…hopefully the little bastards who did this will be thrown in juvie and receive the same beating. Both the Darby Township school and police department should be ashamed of themselves for allowing this
It’s sad that the kids in a coma but I didn’t think he was “savagely” beaten. Didn’t he just get punched in the face, was semi ok then went into a coma later on? Kids fight all the time it’s part of being a boy. This was just a freak thing. Sad yes but don’t think the kid needs to get the death penalty for it

Not that it matters, this is a horrible act, but the OP makes it states the child was “beaten into a coma.” He is actually in a medically induced coma, totally different in terms of prognosis.
“Medically induced coma” would indicate that his head injury is so bad that the physicians need to do this in order to decrease the pressure/swelling inside his head. Prognosis from a head injury = people are never the same pre-injury. However, age is on his side.
You would expect a lot more from all of these adults. The school staff and police force should be ashamed of themselves for being so apathetic to this child’s life. This is disgusting and all too common in america today. The less we care the more this will happen. Kids are a product of their environment. Maybe one day people will stop hesistating to point the finger at the parents. From the 90′s generation forward these kids will be very messed up. Stay indoors people

No, actually the boys name should have nothing to do with it. I named my son after a Grateful Dead song that was written about a boy/man named Cassidy. There are also girls named Cassidy. There are girls named Bobbi, Tony, Connie etc… Alot of names are androgynous. Thats no reason for violence at all. Your reasoning is backwoods, redneck and seriously flawed. Wasn’t there more then one attacker? So in response to the typical school yard, stfu. This is simply because the two attackers were black and the victim was white. So from the liberal point of view, it’s alright.

Bullies these days are little assholes. I’ve got to switch my daughter to where my in laws live. And get this, this, the school is PLASTERED with no bullying signs. She’s not scared, but once she snaps all Hell breaks loose. All she needs is to be expelled. I even told her to defend herself if she has to.
I can’t even imagine sending your child to school and get that awful phone call. I’m usually not the praying type but in this case I’m breaking the rule. That poor little one, bless his heart.

Nik, don’t forget the parents, its evident they’re not doing their jobs. Kids these days. I saw some gnarly fights and been in my own, nobody ever put someone in a coma. (Getting shot tho? That happened) that’s attempted murder. They should be in juvie. I hulked out and threw chairs and knocked desks over. I don’t remember it either, it was blind rage.
Those same parents will take time out of their day if YOUR child beats the snot out of theirs. There’s always been bullies, but the internet makes it so much easier. Poor kids can’t even come home and relax .
This is what happens to kids when parents can’t beat their kids. I am sorry but being able to hit your kids teaches them respect. It obviously isn’t preventing them from becoming violent themselves.
The poor boy was beaten who started it is not the issue yes he was put into a coma by the doctors but only do to the exstant of his beating no one has the right to do such a thing we need more rights to control our kids if they need a spankin we should be allowed to spank them i do and you wont catch my kids picking on no one cuz i would SLAP the *hit out of them my kids are not any better then any other child out there and they dear act like they are cuz ill show them real fast god bless this baby i will pray for him
Rest in Peace Bailey O’Neil….I will continue to pray that justice is served for you. This is truly a f*cked up world we live in when sh*t like this happens and nothing is done about it. I hope all responsible parties are punished accordingly. I hope his family heals from this tragedy.
the young boy in this story actually passed away. they took him off life support the day after his birthday. so far nothing has been done & something SHOULD BE!! sleep peacefully. & people ARE fighting for you bailey. hopefully justice will be handed down to those who deserve punishment for what has been done, the lose of a child.
First of all I am so heartbroken and saddened by this story. I am a teacher and a new mom. I am so scared for the future of our children. The problem is a lack of parental involvement and policies that leave schools with very little ability to enforce rules. The students that bully students are mostly children who come from dysfunctional homes. It scares me how mean and violent some children can be…. We try to teach the children how to respect eachother but when it’s not taught at home it’s very hard for teachers to succeed…. I’m also sad at how immature and ignorant some of the adults commenting on this situation have been…. No mother should ever have to bury their child! The consequences for violent acts need to be harsher in my opinion, children at 12 years of age should know better!
First of all, not all of the bullies in school come from dysfunctional homes. Secondly, these two little scumbags should be publicly flogged and thrown in jail for the rest of their lives. They don’t deserve leniency. Thirdly, do not believe it when schools say that they take bullying seriously. They don’t. We live in an affluent town where many of the mothers are power bitches. I witnessed my son being pushed and tormented by some of the little scumbags who went to his school. The school denied it ever happened. It is obvious that the principal was afraid of the mother of one of the little scumbags seeing as how she was one of the richest bitches in town.
