to some, kayla is an absolute sweetheart. she can be a lot of fun, and enjoys having a good time like everyone else. however, as a person with a rough history with drug addiction (6 years ago march 31st, uppers) i truly understand her mindset.. she is in fact an addict and needs to make the first move to help herself.. nobody else can do that for her.
a post like this can ruin a person, if it were to happen to me i would give up on myself, i would just let go of my personality, interests and hope for my future. i’m weak and lack confidence in myself already, and this website condones behaviour that is unacceptable everywhere else. but i do foster hope that kayla will learn from this.
kayla needs help and is too young and naive to see that this lifestyle can hurt her, and many others around her (family, cousin?). she needs to realize that she is causing pain, indirectly, and know that there will be consequences. it won’t be just her body, it will be her friends, and especially her family (from what i hear, they do what they can to control the substance abuse) who will feel the recoil.
i love my friends, and worry about her even though she is not a close one. but she is creating a ripple-effect of addiction throughout the group’s weaker members. she is indeed a lonely addict, and so leads others into the habit so that she can feel some sort of control over that loneliness.
