Mike of Mike and Mike (the fat Mike’s) Son Busted, Where Was Clausen?

September 22, 2008 Dirty Athletes, Notre Dame, The Dirty 9

SOUTH BEND, Ind.: Notre Dame tight end Will Yeatman and center Mike Golic Jr., son of an ESPN television host, were among 41 people arrested on misdemeanor alcohol charges early Sunday at a South Bend home, police said.
Yeatman, 20, and Golic, 18, were charged with being minors consuming alcohol, said Sgt. Al Taylor of the Indiana State Excise Police. Others arrested included members of the Notre Dame lacrosse and soccer teams, he said.
State, excise and St. Joseph County police made the arrests at a home in South Bend about 2 a.m., Taylor said.
Police made the arrests after Notre Dame returned to South Bend following a 23-7 loss Saturday at Michigan State. St. Joseph County Police spokesman Sgt. Bill Redman said police were targeting businesses that reportedly had sold to minors when they received a report about the party.
Those arrested were taken to the St. Joseph County Jail. Neither Yeatman nor Golic, whose father, Mike Golic, co-hosts “Mike & Mike in the Morning” remained in the jail Sunday evening.

I wonder if they will talk about it today on Mike and Mike?- nik

R.I.P. Jimmy Clausen Look A Like

September 4, 2008 Dirty Athletes, Notre Dame, Pittsburgh, The Dirty 1

THE DIRTY ARMY: I just read on the website for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette that Pennsylvania State Troopers killed an emu with a Taser on the PA Turnpike. After chasing Jimmy for 2 hours and attempting to lasso him, they gave up and shocked him to death with a Taser. They said he didn’t belong to anybody in the area and probably escaped from a truck. This all happened about 30 miles east of Pittsburgh.

Here’s the full story and the address for the full story:

Troopers with Taser forced to kill emu on turnpike

Wednesday, September 03, 2008
The Associated Press

State police say they had to use a Taser on an emu, which died, because the flightless bird presented a danger on the Pennsylvania Turnpike.

Sgt. Anthony DeLuca says the bird created a backlog and nearly caused vehicles to crash into each other as it ran along the eastbound lanes Monday near the New Stanton exit, about 30 miles southeast of Pittsburgh.

Sgt. DeLuca says officers tried for two hours to capture the 4-foot-tall bird — even attempting to lasso it — but weren’t successful. They opted for a Taser rather than using a gun, but the emu fell to the ground after it was shocked and died.

Sgt. DeLuca says the emu didn’t belong to any nearby farmers. Police say it may have escaped from a truck.

This cannot be good for Notre Dame Football.- nik
