THE DIRTY ARMY: Nik, I am an avid female reader of your website and wanted to write to you about a weird issue I have been having at airports recently. I travel weekly for work (no, I’m not in THAT line of work)… In the last six weeks random strangers have come up to me when I have been using my computer, iPad or cell phone and ask if they can connect to my hotspot (which, I never allow to be used for public use). Generally when I have said “No, sorry” the people then say, “I really need to use it, I don’t want to use my data…” Or they get disgruntled and ask someone else. I know most people may think they are doing someone a “favor” by letting them use it but in doing this, they are putting themselves at risk by having private information compromised. Therefore, if you’re using a device that has sensitive information on it, don’t ever have your hotspot on when you’re traveling to where those around you can be used for public use. You are just asking to get hacked! I figured this was basic common sense until I was just asked by this random guy if he could connect to my computer and when I said no the person next to me offered for him to use hers! I said, if you are doing more than candy crush on that thing, that’s not safe!
Webmaster Hack always asks hot chicks for their hot spots and then he shows me all these random naked pictures. I was wondering what was going on. LAX life!- nik
