Amelia Ricci Frauds Her Clients at Ricci Salon in Yorkville! BEWARE

THE DIRTY ARMY:  Hi Nik, another tip from yours truly. This girl, Amelia Ricci runs an awful salon in Yorkville that her parents bought her. She acts like she started from the bottom and works hard, but god knows where she got that money to start this business in the first place (Hint Hint, Wink Wink, Nudge Nudge.) I suggest she stops ripping off clients with her awful services and uses her free time to attend a fitness center to lose some extra weight. I think it will catch up with her in the longrun. Yours Truly, Former BFF

Shayne, if you are reading this… I need a Nudge Nudge right now.- nik

I went to high school with Amelia and decided to support a fellow alumni when I decided to go blonde. Amelia absolutely butchered my hair, leaving me with the hair colour of Big Bird from Sesame street and incredibly harsh lines all across my head. My hair was virgin before she did this, and what was supposed to leave me feeling beautiful instead has left me feeling embarrassed for my appearance and for Amelia’s skills. Once I contacted her in order to have it fixed, she made an appointment for a week later and when I arrived the salon was closed. She has since blocked me and refuses refund or to fix her mess. $350 for absolute garbage service and products. She also shared with me while doing my hair that she dropped out of hair school TWICE. I should have ran then. Shame on you, Amelia.

    “Fraud” is not a verb.

Monday-Sunday? Shouldn’t it say “Daily”? Looks odd. Maybe it’s just me :)

You probably don’t live in Ontario, Canada Tina. MOST non-chain ‘entrepreneur’ stores in Toronto are closed on Sunday or Monday, even if the owner doesn’t work there every day. Ontario used to have “Blue Laws” that required ALL businesses to be closed on Sundays, until the mid 1980’s. There were some exceptions, like team sporting events. These were archaic laws from when Churches had political juice. In the 80’s, a number of businesses just disregarded the law blatantly, with the goal of being charged criminally, then having the law repealed by the Supreme Court. That’s what Canadians do, when they want laws changed. Listing ‘Monday to Sunday’ on the store’s front door is a way of telling customers that the store is open every day, except holidays like Christmas, Easter, or Labor Day.

There IS a Ricci Salon in Yorkville, a small neighborhood in upper downtown Toronto, near the intersection of the NS and EW subway lines at Bloor and Yonge Streets. It’s the ‘overpriced’ part of town, but was formerly the locale for live music coffee houses in ‘hippy days’, (late 60’s, early 70’s). The salon has a several favorable reviews, and one VERY negative one, with 7 votes from other people. As a heterosexual man of mature age, I would have no reason to go there; Dolly @ Dolly’s Trim Time, Danforth & Dawes is the only person I trust with my hair and scissors. I don’t think the selfie pic is of Amelia; she looks nothing like THAT, in this bizarre photo from their website: It looks to me like the blonde of indeterminate gender could possibly be carpet munching, while being sheared. Some or all of the OP’s story might be true. I don’t know.

Lol Poor Shayne. Nik! I have a great idea, you should have Shayne respond to posts every once in a while. Maybe next to yours at the bottom of the photos…. we know she has a gentle heart so it would be hilarious to see her find someone nice to say about these submissions.
