Advice plz! Give up?? Move on? Or continue to chase the dream
THE DIRTY ARMY: Hey Nik! Been loving your site since I’ve moved to L.A from a little town in the middle of no fkn where 2 years ago.. any way my main question for you is, ever since all these crazy Hollywood sex scandals have been brought to light I’ve been getting more and more discouraged as to why I even moved here in the first place.. here’s the thing, I am a hot, young (under 23) aspiring actress.. currently I’m in all the best classes & training for it but I also don’t have many connections and I’m fine with patiently waiting for my “big break” or when ever a real and reputable manager/ agent wants to sign me or book a commerical or something.. but now this is where I’m getting discouraged at.. should I continue to work hard, wait tables, chase my goals and try make my own connections to open up the pearly gates of hell or at this point should I just say f**k it and start using my beauty and sex to get what I want?
My logic to that is I’m not getting any younger or hotter and right now for at least a few years I am in my prime.. I mean this seems to be the case nowadays and no I’m not saying that I agree with girls getting sexually harassed, exploited & raped but at the same time who the f**k in their right mind would actually believe and go to a “audition or casting call” in somebody’s hotel room? Yes, I know this is Hollywood and it’s very common to have meetings in some un-common places like downstairs at a bar, but come on, you mean to tell me that girls really didn’t know what time it was when Harvey Weinstein would invite them up to his room for a “movie role discussion”?! And shame on all the female assistants who actually let this type of behavior go on so forth but even knowing myself if any director/producer on any level approached me that way I wouldn’t go, wouldn’t even put my self in that position in the first place for what?! Unless someone can break it down for me and tell me how Hollywood really works idk I’m just a bit confused at this point and nope I’ve never had a SD before, never been on any websites now I’m starting to re think it and don’t know if it’s a good or bad thing? Please help!!
Don’t move on- Hollywood is built on dark secrets. Meaning you need to throw your morals out the door to make it. My advice is to sleep with the highest level and compartmentalize it as a one time sexual experience. This way you won’t feel as bad when you cash the check to stardom.- nik
