Loosely related to this, in the ‘Chinatown’ DVD screener for Star Wars – Ep 1, “The Phantom Menace”, the English subtitles, (allegedly generated by taking the English dialog, translating it to Mandarin, transposing THAT to simplified Chinese, then BACK to English, using Babelfish translation), for one scene, in which rebel fighters were being pursued by The Empire, had this Charo-like nugget of subtitle gold: “I have him in my behind!”. That was newsworthy enough to appear in “Entertainment Weekly” print magazine in 1999. “The Jedi Council” was translated as “The Presbyterian Church” in that same bootleg edition, now a highly collectable Star Wars swag item; I don’t have one myself.
