Trump Shares Article About Syrians Being Grateful For Air Strike, Including One Who Wants To Name Their Son Donald
While President Donald Trump may have taken some expected criticism from certain countries for his airstrike in Syria, he seemed to overwhelmingly receive support for his actions. Last night, he shared an article from Fox News, which linked to another article from The Daily Wire, which shared tweets from Syrians grateful for Trump’s actions as well.
Tweets from Syrians mentioned in the article included the following:
- “As a Syrian and Assad chemical weapons massacre survivor I want to thank @POTUS for striking the dictator, you gave us hope god bless u Sir!”
- “As a Syrian refugee, I never imagined that I’d say this: Thanks @realDonaldTrump for bombing the regime who displaced me, please do more.”
Interestingly, a tweet from UK reporter Ruth Sherlock‘s account was also shared, where she stated, “I was on phone with #QuasiZakarya, who survived 2013 #chemical attack, when he learned #Trump action: ‘I’ll name my son Donald. Hero.’ #Syria.”
While it’s a good thing for the President to get support on his actions, it’s definitely interesting to see people originally from Syria supporting him as well. It’s also interesting to note Trump hasn’t been tweeting a ton of controversial things in the recent days, but did take the time to share this article that we can agree with him was important for people to see.
It will be interesting to see how many new baby “Donald’s” pop up.
