EXCLUSIVE: Dance Moms star Abby Lee Miller – Prosecutors Demand Reality Star NOT Be Allowed to Leave Country Days Before Sentencing
The Dirty can exclusively reveal Dance Moms star Abby Lee Miller will NOT be leaving the country – days before her bankruptcy fraud sentencing — if the prosecutors in the case have their way … with them heading to court demanding the judge shut down the reality star.
Abby plead guilty to bankruptcy fraud charges and is awaiting sentencing in the case. She is facing up to a $5 million dollar fine and 5 years in prison. Recently The Dirty reported Abby headed to court to plead with the judge to allow her to leave the country days before her sentencing in the case.
The sentencing is scheduled to take place on February 24th in Federal Court.
However, the reality star says she has business opportunities prior to the hearing in England from the 16th-21st. She argues her livelihood depends, in part, on her ability to travel for business opportunities, including internationally.
Then on February 13th, the prosecutors in the case fired back at Abby’s plea to let her leave the country. They explain during the case they have consented to her traveling but the circumstances change dramatically when she’s facing a sentence of incarceration.
The prosecutors say they learned Abby will be filming a movie in London if the judge approves the trip and while they do not intend to interfere with her business plans, it would be highly extraordinary and unusual for the court to allow Abby to travel internationally during sentencing proceedings.
